The day we arrived from Mexico City, my daughter and I came down with the dreaded Montezuma's Revenge. I don't know what we would have done without Margaret. She got us Gaterade, made Chicken Soup for us, contacted the doctor to make a house call, and served us cooked apples for breakfast on his recommendation.
Fortunately we were better after a long night and next day of sleep, and we were able to carry on with our tourist activities. Margaret made it so easy: she offered suggestions and then called guides and tour companies to assist us with our plans. She gave generously of herself and her time, and I feel that I have found a long lost sister. She even took me to her belly dancing class!
I agree with all the other good reviews here. I bonded with her dog; the cat was pretty and liked to keep her distance. I love Margaret's sense of artistry and use of local textiles. The guest room is a 100+ year old adobe structure with Margaret's updates but still very rustic, so the neighborhood cars and sounds of people and dogs can be heard, which is part of the charm of Mexico.
We walked everywhere and always felt safe and enjoyed the exercise. I hope to visit Margaret again!More
