This very nice atmosphere restaurant is located in the heart of Condesa, the food is simply amazing and its inexpensive compared to other restaurants of this level. Don't miss the mole simply fantastic and the specialty fish in adobe sauce amazing. Great Mexican service !

I rarely write reviews but this place deserves one. Everything is excellent. Could not have had a better dining experience.

Azul provided an excellent experience, with great service, a pleasant atmosphere, and a wonderful modern take on traditional Mexican cuisine. The flavours provided a rich, multilayered experience which truly represented the best of Mexico’s unique cuisine.

At the time we dined at Azul, the special menu featured traditional foods from Tlaxcala, as prepared by chefs specially brought in from the region. If you are on the Azul website, look at the “Festivales” section to see what special menus are featured at the time.

As well as representing the food of Mexico, the restaurant does a excellent job of showing the best of Mexican wine, beer, and spirits. There are many wines not available in stores. Also, I’ve never seen a more expansive collection of mezcal anywhere.

Any of the Azul locations will amaze you, but the cozy, tucked away garden in Condesa is particularly lovely. I arrived and was immediately attended to with attentive service by a kind and ample team of waiters. The grasshoppers over guacamole were salty — worth trying. The tortilla soup was served in a calavera bowl and is so memorable I will return the next time I am in Mexico City. Take a night to sit outside and take in the Azul experience!

We had a great meal here during our week in CDMX. They are not on Open Table, so our Concierge made a reservation for us. We sat under the big tree in the courtyard (you are not really outside). The waiters do not speak any English, but they do have English menus and you can point to your selections and they understand. Have a Metaxa to start. Cocktails are on the strong side here so watch it. We skipped the moles and had Enchiladas and a beautiful fish dish - outstanding. Very unusual dessert menu, lots to choose from. A great meal in a really pleasant environ with sensational service. A+++.
