Although near two markets and a contemporary art center, the neighbourhood where this place sits is hardly worth a visit. So why did I get out of my way two or three times to go? Because it offers for very little an option for the man who can eat no more tacos and enchiladas. Everything is fresh and delicious.

Very descent and affordable fish and seafood options within the comfort zone ... Very original tastes. Try the seafood soup but be prepared for a huge portion!

This unassuming little place in downtown Mexico City is a favourite with locals and they do fantastic shrimp empanadas which they open up and stuff with avocado and mayonnaise before serving it either to eat in or take away. Great street food.

From the sidewalk the place (actually more than one place) doesn't look like much. Two long stainless steel tables. I've eaten here several times and have always had a tasty meal. The shrimp soup (caldo de camarón) is a bit spicy and good. The shrimp cocktail(s) are also very good as well as the "campechana" cocktails with Shrimp and Octopus - a personal favorite. The young waiters are quick and attentive. Good stuff.

fresh, beautifully flavoured street flavoured seafood at incredible prices: ate here twice and the caldo de cameron and crab tostadas were spectacular
