We went to have breakfast and really had the traditional Mexican flavors. Menu is short and most of it is spicy but it real.

Simplicity, colonial atmosphere and excellent traditional cuisine of Sonora, make "Las Lupitas" an exceptional place. Nestled in the heart of Coyoacan in front of the Plaza de Santa Catarina in Francisco Sosa St. This place preserves the essence of the authentic Mexican flavor without complicated or sophisticated menú. Reasonably priced, and run by the fourth generation of owner's of the place. it certainly a trip back!

Do not forget to ask for their "atole de canela"(cinnamon grue)

The service was very friendly and made us feel very comfortable and fully enjoy the experience..

Food excellent.. I had some white tortillas amo carne asada.. It was so tasty.. Also great memories about the hot drink that is the speciality of the house..

Highly recommended.

My friends had heard about Las Lupitas but couldn't find it originally. We discovered it after a long day of museum-ing, and were both exhausted and hungry. We couldn't decide what to eat because in Mexico the main meal is in mid-afternoon, and the evening menu there was limited.

A tall friendly man came over to guide us, and he turned out to be the owner. We had empanadas....truly the best I have ever had, including in Argentina, a cream soup with rajas which was delicious, and some crispy dorado type tacos which had a different name. My memory is vague on the names, but it is not vague on the flavors or the service. I definitely recommend it!
