We had a 3:30 lunch at Quintonil. Since we were on vacation, we chose the wine pairing too. It was fantastic. The variety of food with local ingredients was exactly what we wanted. Yes, it's super fancy food for Mexico City. But it's so worth it. I especially liked the Mezcal with avocado drink served with the first course. It was creative and unexpectedly delicious. We added the chocolate hot pot as a dessert after the tasting menu - it was crazy good. Overall a wonderful experience!

An incredible culinary experience every dish had an explosion of flavors when eaten. Tacos de lechón rostisado simply incredible the flavors soft and delicate, cream de queso de hebra simply delicious, lechón en salsa de chile wow a must try, y la Barbacoa de pescado great (tends to be medium rare, let the waiter know if you want it well done) the salsas and the dessert we had a very interesting option a “Guanabana or Swore soup” with white chocolate made with the hidrógeno technic

If you have time go for it, reservations needed, usually busy.

Well deserving of the recognition. We tried the spring tasting menu. (Eleven courses) Portions are appropriate so that you are not uncomfortable at the end of your delightful experience. Every course was unique. We ate things we never tried before and found ourselves nodding our heads up and down with each forkful. This restaurant is expensive and popular. You will need to make reservations well in advance. (See attached pictures.)

now , when one gets to know the volume of fruit vegetable , herbs and spices that mexico has introduced to the world AND have a Michelin star chef play with all of the above in the kitchen the result can only be that of magnificence set into an interior of equaled magnificence , add to this recipe a staff contingent that watches the guests with a hawks eye and delivers astute , friendly and informative service . YOU Quintonil gets 10 out of 10 !1

We had a really great meal at Quintonil. We went to Pujol the night after and were much more impressed with Pujol. That said the service at Quintonil is impeccable. The strong Dishes were absolutely, but there were to many good dishes that were not spectacular enough to garner 5 stars. I’ll go course by course:

1: fresh tortillas perfect, hot. Beans smooth, rich. Tomatoes acidic, herbal. Habanero hit, fruity. Overall perfect balance and beautiful flavors.

2 Cactus- sharply acidic fresh crunchy. Good open to a meal. A great cold starter!

3 cuitkaxoche fresh though funky. Broth fishy, potatoy, briny. Wine pairing sweet acidic dry. Wanted more from this dish.

4 crisp white asparagus, complex umami broth with building heat, briny. Again, wanted more. I feel love I’ve had this dish before elsewhere.

5 Avocado tar tar with escamoles, charred onion. Spectacular! This dish demonstrated depth of flavor, balance, and technique.

6 Salad - good, but just a salad. Again could have had this anywhere.

7 Fish Barbacoa - fish was excellent! Bean purée delicious. Beans themselves underdone. Overall delicious.

8- Sweetbread taco. Texture unfortunate - brought out all the visceral notes of the sweetbread with no Caramalezation or crispness to balance. Taco needed more acidity and texture. Underwhelming dish.

9 - Oxtail. Rich deep. Needed acidity and crunch to make shine, but this dish was spectacular as well.

10 - Cactus sorbet. Beautifully acidic with balance of sweetness.

11- Chocolate rocks with pink pepper jelly. Really good. Best dessert

12 - Green bean ice cream with corn cream and corn cake. Good. Good balance of not being to sweet with great texture

Overall we had a great meal. I would certainly return!
