“Perfect base in Centro Historico”

This apartment is very well situated for all the major sights. It is very spacious and well-presented. The owner has thought of everything to make your stay work well, including masses of information and guidance on sights and where to eat and drink.

The bedrooms are very nice, but the beds quite hard. The fridge is stocked for breakfasts, and we far preferred this to being in a hotel.

I also felt safe in the area, and the owner's housekeeper was very friendly and helpful.

“Absolutely Fabulous!!!!!”
Reviewed 19 March 2013 for a stay in October 2012

A group of six of us stayed here during our holiday in Mexico, in October 2012. It was without doubt the best accommodation we found around all the areas we travelled to in Mexico. The furnishings are plush, the art-work (which is everywhere in the apartment) is unique and a wonderful addition to the 'ambiance'. The apartment itself is in the best location of Mexico City - everything you need is at your door-step - restaurants, galleries, shops, public transport etc. The host Petra was absolutely fantastic, and made us feel so welcome. The breakfast facilites were re-stocked every day, laundry was very reasonably priced, plus Petra can organise transfers / activities (including a day visit to the ruins) for you. Oh, and did I mention the well stocked bar? I would definitely recommend this apartment, without hesitation, and I hope to stay here in future holidays. Thanks Petra!!!

“Everything it's cracked up to be......”
Reviewed 22 November 2012 for a stay in November 2012

This is a wonderful find in Mexico City. The historic center is very interesting with enough to explore for a day or two. When you have had your fill there you can hop on the surprisingly efficient (if crowded, at times) subway, one block away, and start to get to know other areas of town. There are some old fashioned, beautiful restaurants within easy walking distance of the apartment as well as lots of Mexican "fast food" if you prefer not to sit down to a full meal. After a full day of discovering the seemingly endless pleasant surprises that Mexico City offers up, Bolivar Suites is the perfect home away from home. You will be delighted not be in a cramped hotel room but rather to have room to spread out. Though the neighborhood feels safe it's nice to have the 24 hour security guard at the front entrance. Mexico City turned out to be a great choice of destination for this time of year (November, the driest month of the year with perfect temperatures every day) and Bolivar Suites a wonderful choice for lodging.

“Bolivar is fantastic for family and friends!”
Reviewed 26 April 2012 for a stay in December 2011

Bolivar Suites was the perfect home for our group in Mexico City. Our group was two small families from Atlantic Highlands, NJ visiting after Christmas: four adults and three tween girls. The space is fantastic; you gaze out across the rooftops, domes and towers of the Centro from almost every room in this oversized penthouse apartment. It is extremely secure with a locked gate, a doorperson and underground parking, but we felt safe around the clock in the neighborhood....even when we headed out for tacos al pastor and cerveza at 2 AM from the delicious 24 hour taqueria nearby. The Zocalo is just down the street a few blocks and the neighborhood is full of beautiful cafes, bars and restaurants (think Paris....take away any chance of bad attitude....and then divide the bill by 5!).

The penthouse and the neighborhood are clearly reason enough to stay at Bolivar but, as the TV pitchmen say....That's not All! There is another reason that you really have to stay at Bolivar; your hostess, Petra. Petra is amazing. She is professional, irreverent, witty, honest and is probably the best person that you could have to introduce you to what is great about Mexico City. She lives right on the property (in the twin penthouse in the opposite tower of the building) and everyone in our group loved touring the markets, streets and restaurants with Petra. Throughout the markets and streets, Petra gets a hearty hug from a local about every 10 minutes. We have rented homes from Kyoto to Rio and Petra is the best hostess we've ever had. I particularly recommend enjoying some grilled chicken hearts and tequila shots at her good friend's fantastic Lebanese place, al Andulus....

Stay here and thank me later for your great vacation!
