What a lovely hotel. I must admit, i always have a soft spot for top hated porters. We were very well received and although we were a large group, the check in was quick and painless. All the attendants were very helpful and courteous. The hotel itself is very clean and pleasant. The room itself was fairly clean. It is very well located and I only wish we had had more time to visit. I would most definitely recommend this hotel.

This was my 4th stay at this property over a period of about 8 years. It is an excellent hotel, well located in the relative vicinity of the Palacio National (15 minutes walk), close to restaurants and some small shops. There is also a nice arts and crafts market in the neighborhood. The rooms are clean, spacious and well maintained. I would only wish that the old carpets would be replaced by wooden floors, but that is a personal preference. Breakfast is excellent, concierge friendly, and housekeeping well worth a good tip. The only issue that I noted this time was that the alarm system is not audible and the announcements over the speaker system were incomprehensible. The hotel ran some tests during daytime, and if this had been a real alarm I would not have woken up or be able to follow any instruction. I did notify hotel staff and they did not seem concerned, yet this is an important issue and my 3* rating is solely based on this issue.

Room Tip: Corner rooms seem more spacious.

My partner and I initially experienced poor service checking-in as they sent us to the Hilton Honors check-in to where there was only 1 clerk compared to the 4 downstairs. We waited in line over 35 minutes to check-in, however, a waiter by the name of Luis took care of us with drinks and offering to take care of our bags. Every day, Luis and Aaron made our vacation an enjoyable stay as they both made us feel right at home. Aaron was so gracious to listen to our daily stories and Luis helped us navigate services after the earthquake that damaged the hotel. Thank you so much for making our stay a positive and memorable one.
