We spent Saturday morning in Coyoacan and the afternoon in San Angel. Both were charming, especially on a Saturday. To get to San Angel from Coyoacan we walked along Fransicso Sosa which did change names a couple of times as it got close to San Angel. The street and neighbornood was filled with homes that were very nice and looked like they had been originally built in colonial times. Lovely. As we walked along we sound a cultural center and went inside, not knowing if was only for members and found a really lovely place. People were learning how to dance, paint, and more. It looked like food was offered there at times and the center was filled with a lovely park with lots of vegetation.
Although the walk along this street was quite long we loved it. The large fancy homes and parks made it a pleasure.

All Coyoacan area is awesome and architecture is great. The central plaza is within a walking distance. Colonial style is preserved in all the area with ancient houses, all well preserved.

A great way to discover Coyoacan is to take this avenue West to East and then sit at a cafe on the main plaza. This is one of the oldest colonial street in Latin America, don't miss it if you go to San Angel or Coyoacan, it is just in between.

I happened upon this street by chance in my efforts to find the Casa Azul. It is a beautiful, quiet street. The houses have colorful, old-time designs. Taking this street will lead you to the beautiful Colonia Coyoacan. It has a wonderful, small-town feel to it. It is a peaceful, beautiful walk.
