Casa de Amor – 11/21/17 to 11/28/17
Thank you for allowing us the pleasure of staying in your special home while we visited Guanajuato for the first time.
The house is a treasure (the photos really don’t do it justice) - tastefully furnished, with some amazing art pieces, a well-appointed kitchen, and a very comfy bed. The tile-work in the kitchen and bathrooms - and the brick-work on the dome ceilings are exquisite.
The terraces are beautifully landscaped – each a peaceful little oasis frequented by brightly colored birds and butterflies. We so enjoyed sitting out in the morning with our coffee, and reading outside in the evening.
Casa de Amor is perfect if you want to be far enough from the hustle and bustle of the city to allow for privacy in a safe environment – yet still close enough to enjoy the sites when you choose to. We daily made the short walk down to the bottom of the hill (across from the hamburger place) where we caught the bus into town (10 pesos for the two of us). One day we made the easy walk clear down to El Centro – meandering along the picturesque Callejones, and through the colorful, lively markets and plazuelas.
Guanajuato is a captivating city – so fun to explore! And Casa de Amor was a wonderful place to relax and unwind.
