We visited a couple mines near GTO and this was a fun trip but it felt more like a disneyland version of a mine visit compared to the El Nopal Mine. You descend quite a few stairs into the mine, take a brief tour with a guide and you're done. I think the hacienda itself was more interesting then the mine.

Got here due to a taxi driver recommendation. turns out that he was getting kickbacks for dropping us off there.
Price is average: $ 35 pesos (2usd), extra for using the restroom. Has 2 small rooms with some stones got from this and nearby mines. Then you walk 62 steps downstairs to reach a small cave with an hydraulic hammer stuck on one of the walls so you can take a cheese picture and thats it.
Save your money and more importantly save your time! Avoid this mine at all cost, and go some where else!

Similar to other mining visits, the explanation is conventional and the descent is more dangerous (due to the slippery surface) than illustrative of the working conditions of the miners. Outside there are the usual shops but all in all it is not an essential visit in my view.

This used to be a real silver mine. Now it's a museum/ mine. To go to the mine is fun but a way down not for closterfobic and people with high blood pressure.

This is a very short trip, about half an hour. I like that you can take pictures at the bottom of the mine with your hard hat. my mother in law enjoyed it.
