The lovely Hotel Espuma spans a cliff between Play Madera and Playa La Ropa. With four guest rooms, it feels more like a sumptuous private residence than a hotel. Its architecture, design and appointments are simply impeccable, from door and window lintels of tree trunks and boughs (see photos above), to excellent lighting, beautiful tile work, creative use of concrete, stone and color, and an abundance of fine art (paintings, wood carvings and ceramics). The Lilia Candelaria suite, including the bathroom and dressing room,is enormous and thoughtfully appointed. It has a small private patio with a comfy sunbed, where I inadvertently slept like a baby on the first night of my visit. A few steps up is an amazing infinity pools with whirlpool jets. Heaven! And Espuma's views are breathtaking.
In addition to its physical plant, Hotel Espuma's staff is pitch-perfect -- gracious, endlessly helpful, interesting and kind -- just outstanding. Manager Uriel sweetly provided me with lots of assistance and advice. Waiters Francisco, Josh and Christian guided me to the menu's best selections. Whatever you need they will provide. Gracias, amigos.
For peace and tranquility, you can't beat Hotel Espuma. Playa La Ropa and downtown are a short, $2.00 cab ride away, or a few pesos by bus.
I highly recommend Hotel Espuma to discerning travelers, from honeymooners to families and soloists who want to decompress in this lovely, unique property,More
