My husband and I just returned home after spending a week at this beautiful villa. Everything was perfect, from the unbelievable view to the comfortable beds and pillows to the beautifully-designed surroundings. The charming and capable manager Carlos anticipated our every need, and Karin, Alexandra, Pancho and all of the other staff could not have been more welcoming and kind. Throw in a wonderful restaurant on the top floor and what more could you want other than wishing we could spend another week? We look forward to a repeat visit soon.

We stayed at Villa Guadalupe for our honeymoon in November 2017 it was just absolutely beautiful. Carmen was great in answering all of our booking questions before arrival and once we arrived the staff was absolutely attentive and accomodating, they went out of their way to make us feel welcome! The Villa is perched on a cliff right next door to La Casa Que Canta that seems to be Salma Hayeks hotel which goes for $400 and up, why spend that kind of money when you have a paradise right next door at Villa Guadalupe!!! There are three beautiful rooms we chose the Maria Lourdes Suite which is said to be the love nest of the three! The room is the closest to the ocean so hearing the waves crash at night was just a wonderful soundtrack to sleep to. Everything was so comfortable, except for maybe the bed could be a little softer I found it a bit hard for my taste. The common lounge area and infinity pool is just magnificent, you also get a day bed and a fridge for all your needs while you stay at the villa, other guests were respectful and it wasn't intrusive at all to share with them. There is a bit of stairs to go up and down so if your not into stairs, I would suggest you chose the closest room to the top. The onsite restaurant Espuma is absolutely fantastic, with a killer view and a delicious menu. Our waiter was super nice and so informative, we loved it! We will definitley be back to Villa Guadalupe and stay a longer period of time to really enjoy and relax! 5 stars all the way around we definitley would recommend this place!

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights after spending 7 nights in Ixtapa, where we stayed in a resort that had an incredible view of the bay there. We drove over in a rental car and initially we had a bit of a challenge locating the "hotel", because it really is a restaurant (The Espuma) with 3 rooms connected below. You can miss the small Villa Guadalupe sign to the left of the large Espuma sign, so just look for the Espuma sign.

To get to your rooms, you go thru the restaurant and go down stairs. Going down the stairs felt a bit like being in a castle, which was different. There is a common area with a kitchen and a small infinity pool for the guests in the 3 available rooms, and this has to be one of the best views of Zihuataneo bay and the city below. There is a table and chairs and a relaxing lounge chair where a couple can just lay and take in the beautiful sights. The kitchen area allows you to store drinks and items in the refrigerator and you can make your own coffee in the morning. The rooms themselves are not particularly noteworthy but they are clean and comfortable. The location of this hotel makes it easy to walk down to Playa La Ropa and enjoy the activities there, or walk the other way and go into town for the many restaurant options. The hotel is on a hill, so walking down is easy, coming back is more challenging. Taxi is always an option.

The manager of the hotel was very friendly and accommodating and all the staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms are located on three different levels, so if you get the one located farthest down you will likely hear the sounds of the waves on the beach the loudest. We stayed on the top room and it had a canopy bed, but no porch. We visited the mid level room and it did have a small porch and lounge chair. We did not visit the lowest room, but we met the couple who were guests there and they said they had been coming back to the same room for 10 years. So that tells you something.

Room tip: Mid room is probably the largest.

A group of 6 friends spent 9 days and 8 nights at this wonderful villa hotel. We occupied all three rooms, and a common room with a plunge infinity pool, full kitchen, dining area, and lounge overlooking a sweeping view of the water framed by beaches and mountains.
The rooms had ac as well as balmy breezes from windows. Two had private patios, and all rooms were meticulously cleaned daily. It was so relaxing to hang out in the common area with the whole group. A short hike along the road and down to the Playa La Ropa beach in one direction, and an equally short hike to the town of Zihuatanejo in the opposite direction - both trips easily also accessed by inexpensive taxi. The US dollar goes a very long way in restaurants and shops because of the peso current value. Upstairs from the Villa Guadalupe is a beautiful and outstanding restaurant, Espuma. The manager of the Villa and Espuma was incredibly helpful to suggest resources for a fishing and snorkeling trip, and a fantastic kayak excursion at the Barra de Postosí where I photographed the tropical bird life from my kayak. A wonderful holiday vacation that warmed us both in weather and in our hearts.

My wife and I stayed again this year and it was even better than last year. Restaurant Espuma upstairs has reopened with a Mediterranean style, a new chef, and a new manager (Rossana) who also manages Villa Guadalupe. Rossana is doing wonders for both places.

Villa Guadalupe is still operated more as a rental than a hotel but you can pay extra for additional housekeeping visits and they will do grocery shopping for you but no breakfast or meals are served. (Of course Espuma is right upstairs for dinner at least and when the bar opens after 3PM you can go upstairs to get a drink or a glass or bottle of wine.)

The facility is well maintained and the service was super friendly and helpful.

I made a new video as a follow up to my previous one from a few years ago. If you want to see it go to YouTube and search for "Villa Guadalupe Revealed".

If you haven't seen the original video "Villa Guadalupe Surprise" from 5 years ago you can search for that name on YouTube also.

I apologize for little glitches in both videos but I hope you will find them useful nonetheless.

Please note that I am in no way affiliated with this property and am not acting as their agent. I just like the place and felt these videos would be useful for travelers much as photos do.

Room tip: Wifi is only in pool/terrace area, spotty or inaccessible in rooms. Seaside room is most romantic, but master suite room is huge.
