“Great Studio in the Old Town”

We stayed at Casa Vizcarra 2 for 3 weeks in Feb/Mar 2015. As the description says, it's in a local neighbourhood, right near Isla Cuale and about 8 or so blocks to the beach. We really liked the area; there are lots of small stores, excellent restaurants (incl Mi Cafe, best lunches in PV just around the corner), and bars in the area and people are very friendly. Some nights it was very noisy; but we did sleep well enough after getting used to the roosters and street noise. The studio itself is quite spacious, with a large bathroom/changing area and very well-equipped kitchen. The wifi is very good, too, which was an important feature for us. We found the furniture a bit spartan; the dining table is not very comfortable and the bed and pillows are quite hard (seems the usual thing in Mexico). We didn't use the airconditioning so can't comment on that. The roof deck wasn't really usable for us - too hot except for the morning and no lights in the evening) but just as we were leaving, the two loungers got cushions and the deck was given a locking gate. This will make it much more comfortable; even better is if roll-down blinds and/or plants were there to screen the afternoon sun. Overall, for the price, we felt that the studio was really good value and we enjoyed our stay there. 4.5/5

Liked best: Location, fast wifi
