The restaurant is new to PV. It has upstairs, main floor and air-conditioned dining areas.
I had the cochinita pipal, pork roasted in an underground pit.
When the main meal arrived at my table my first was that I would go away hungry, but I was wrong. I am a good eater, but left about a third at the table.
They make a roasted pepper, hot pepper, cilantro, and pickled onion paste ( at the table) as an appetizer. It is served with a wonderful cream sauce, tomatillo sauce, picante sauce with crisp tortillas. All tasty and made the way you want by the server.
The cocineta pipal is served in a banana leaf with even more sauces. x-nipec salsa, made in house tortillas. You will not leave hungry. The restaurant is beautifully done, the food presentation is top rate.
For dessert I had a chocolate pudding with ice-cream and fresh raspberries. Again first rate presentation, rich and creamy.
Great staff, great chefs, great place to dine.
I'll be back.
