Fantastic, informative and entertaining city tour provided by Susanna while David our driver kept us comfortable and safe. We highly recommend visiting the beautiful and enchanting Seaport City of Mazatlan starting with a city guided tour by Vista Tours’ guide, Susanna. She provided an enthusiastic entertaining historical background of her enchanting city, driving by and walking to keys points of the city - Maricon (longest boardwalk in the world), the tallest lighthouse in the world, Catedral Basílica de Mazatlan (one of only two Catholic Church in the world with The Star of David on 28 paneled windows inside), Mercado, Plaza Machado and Teatro de Angela Peralta. Then she took us to a stunningly beautiful seaside restaurant, Restorante de Bruha. The restaurant served fresh, scrumptious and inexpensive food for two ($37USD), from coconut juice, mangada, guacamole ensalada, to Rellenos de Marlin (grilled prawns stuffed with Marlin), Imperiales (grilled prawns stuffed with cheese and wrapped in bacon) to plantanos flameados (plantains cooked in a sugary sauce with tequila & served with vanilla ice cream). The trip took 4 1/2hours and was definitely well worth every cent. You can ask Susanna any question about bus transportation, taxi, places to eat, dance, party, visit, and places to avoid.

Our amazing tour guide was Susanna a very upbeat happy woman that loves her city of Mazatlan and wants to share it with everyone and I couldn’t be more pleased with her. Our driver was David a great driver and friendly man. We got to drive to where the blue agave are grown and made into tequila then to the small city of La Nora which was beautiful because just days before they had a festival for Easter. The final stop was lunch a tiny restaurant right by the entrance to the city where you receive an amazing meal that feels and is an authentic Mexican meal. The only critique I would have is not knowing the price for lunch I almost didn’t have enough for the lunch because of my purchase of tequila and since I didn’t have any money after lunch I couldn’t tip Susanna or David so be sure to bring at least 1,000 pesos.

We took a 5 hour city tour. Our guide Susanna was great! She loves what she does and her English was easy to understand. David was an excellent driver. We drove along the boardwalk and she told us all about the different landmarks and statues. We visited a Cathedral, walked through the Mercado and by the Opera house. There was a stop at a nice jewelry store and we finished at a beach front restaurant with good food that sold bottles of tequila for a nice price. This tour was free through our Pueblo Bonito timeshare. We very much enjoyed it!

We did a free tour that was offered after listening to a time share presentation. It was a half day tour with lunch; we stopped at the cathedral and learned some history of the old colonial era while driving along the malecon (boardwalk). Susana was our guide- she is very knowledgable and has a great sense of humor. We also stopped at a jewelry store that was apparently sponsoring the tour, and then had lunch at a restaurant right on the beach, which included some tequila tastings. All in all, a very pleasant morning and afternoon. It was a little rushed, but we went back into town on our own, and found lovely places to eat and shop.
