We stay at the Emporio every year and this year the hotel itself is in rough shape. The staff is quite helpful but can only do so much. The pool was freezing cold and on multiple requests to turn the heat on after a week of our stay and constant asking they finally turned it on only to tell us that the boilers were out of order. There is a disgusting ring around the top of the pool that looks like ring around the tub and is sticky to the touch. The hot tub worked for the first two days and has been out of order ever since. The lights in our bathroom are so dim we have to put the lamp from the sitting area in the bathroom just to see. We reported it to the front desk and they said they would send maintenance to look at it. If they did nothing was done. One day we noticed a large dead crab in the pool. We reported it to the pool bar tending staff but nothing was done. We are definitely looking at other options for next year.

Great people at this location. They always try to anticipate your needs and are right there if you need something. The room are clean and comfortable. Bathroom a little small and need better lighting. Towel are plentiful and new for the bathroom, but the pool could do with some new towels. All staff speak varying degrees of English, and one young man, Raul, lived in the US and speak very good English which is a big help for non-Spanish speaker. We were there for a wedding and it was spectacular. I would certainly go to this hotel again. Recommended especially for children as the staff work to make their experience fun: lemonade in great big tequila glasses so the children feel special.

Room Tip: Get a room that overlooks the quad. You get a view of the sea and the pool.

Clean room, attentive service. Very small bathroom, hot water is rather hit and miss as well and really hard towels, don't know what happened there. The restaurant is probably worth avoiding. I had a salad and thought the honey-mustard dressing sounded quite interesting. Unfortunately the kind of interesting I had in mind did not correlate with the chef's idea. The 'honey mustard dressing' was French's American yellow mustard watered down and was frankly bizarre. On the basis of that alone I would definitely say go somewhere else to eat. All in all however my stay was regular, nothing special.

Room Tip: Room was on main street at front, but minimal noise. Function room entirely enclosed & minimal disturbance from band..

Beautiful room beach view. Bell boys are ok except if you leave your car at the valet parking. You'll be your own valet since they won't go and pick up your car for you. Bathroom was quite dirty specially the sink. AC at the room always good :)
Poor bar fair enough.

Our shower had mold, the hotel was dirty, pools had cracks and missing tiles, and they over charged my card for my stay. When I tried to fix it, no one knew how to fix it. I will never stay there again.

Room Tip: refurbish the entire hotel and retrain all staff
