A beautiful beach to walk along and stop for a drink or two away from crowds and hotels. A short relaxing taxi boat trip to get there.

Either in the hotels or on the streets they sell tours to stone island. Hotels are up to 50usd per person, street is 450pesos or maybe 25usd . For that you get transportation from/to hotel to dock, boat tour of white islands, transportation to beach location, lunch, 2 activites, kyack, banana boat, horse ride, or carriage, unlimited alcohol, for the stay.
Warning, there are lockers but they charge 50peosos , and extra for other items on the menu.
Still had a great time, nice beach and warm water, what is not to like. And they were not pushy.

Beaches in Mazatlan are noisy and busy, touts, bands playing, people everywhere. This Island is easy to get to by boat from the Embacadero at Playa Sur, SE of old town. Just ask your taxi driver to take you here and you can buy tickets 30 Pesos return for a ride on a small motor taxi over to the Island (you can drive to this Island as well). Remember to hold on to your ticket for the return trip. Our second fav beach, after Gaviotas. It is quieter, nice walking beach and swimming is okay, but we were told to not go past our waists as there is a strong riptide. Recommend going to Letys beach restaurant, a tip from some frequent travelers. Service was good, food just okay. Nice way to spend some quiet time.

Had a good day at the beach. Did some horseback riding in town and on the beach and some Kayaking. One of the better beaches in Mazatlan. Restaurants are hit and miss. make sure if you order a beer it is a full size bottle and not one of their mini-beers.
