Arrived by cruise ship to Mazatlan....walked 10 min along the street and caught the local little boat ride over the channel....cost 30 pesos round trip....met some very nice people on the little ferry who advised us to go to a restaurant called "Lety's".....about half way down the beach......what a great place....fantastic service....a beach umbrella, two loungers, drinks, and lunch......David....looked after us....a nice person who also spoke English....water warm and day was sunny.....nice rollers coming in so could do some jumping in the waves.....what a lovely day.....and the cost....wow.....a big 300 pesos for the whole day.....can not beat it.....go if you can....

If you're interested in having a day saluting nature, this is your place to be. There's nothing fancy in there just embracing a day with nature and good food, especially seafood. ENJOY!!!

Getting here is easy and cheap.
Once there the Mexican vendors are so plentiful it made our relaxing beach day a little exhausting. There are many restaurants to sit and eat at. If you arrive early before the vendors start their day you can enjoy a quiet and LONG walk on the pretty stretch of beach here. Bring a towel and snacks if you don't want to sit at one of the restaurants.

Used King David tours - Arturo was awesome! Got a good deal at 435 pesos each (don't buy in USD). Have modest expectations - but great value for the price. Has activities included and a nice meal. Highly recommend.

There are quite a few places along the beach to "set up" for the day. Find one, kick back, eat and drink, play in the ocean and have some fun.

We like to stay at Lety's, they've got great coconut shrimp, cold beer, fresh water shower and you can rent boogie boards to have some great fun.
