I had a standard room at pool side Room 121 which the staff kept spotlessly clean. The air conditioning worked consistently and very well indeed. The location is close walk to everything and with the Super Che Grocery store right around the corner. About a 15 min walk to Santa Cruz or to La Crucecita. This hotel caters to long term guests mostly 50 and above. The pool is very clean :)

Loved the included breakfast buffet, choices to please everyone. And enjoyed the fact that the dining room is almost poolside with a refreshing view and fresh morning breeze as you plan your day.

All the staff were friendly and helpful but just ok with English but all good.. Latitude 15 Beach Club is 5 minute walk accross street which hotel guests can use is ok . The Chahue beach there had constant red flag.

Overall a great quiet , clean small little hotel with excellent location.

I had a standard room which the staff kept spotlessly clean. The air conditioning worked consistently and very well indeed. Loved the cute little balcony even though I was on the road side of the property I didn't find it overly noisy. Can't beat the location close to everything and with the Super Che Grocery store right around the corner.

Loved the included breakfast buffet, choices to please everyone. And enjoyed the fact that the dining room is almost poolside with a refreshing view and fresh morning breeze as you plan your day.

All the staff were friendly and helpful. Also enjoyed Latitud 15 Beach Club which hotel guests can use, just a 5 minute walk from the hotel.

Room Tip: You can request a mini fridge for your room. which is nice for cool drinks, water and even yoghurt or cream/milk for your morning coffee.

We stayed at the Villablanca for a few days in March, and it was the perfect choice for us. The hotel is centred around a decent-sized pool with lots of lawn chairs, and a resident iguana. We had a junior suite, a couple of dollars more, it had a large living room, and large loft with the sleeping area, the loft being as big as most hotel rooms that we have stayed in. It had a small, but totally perfect balcony overlooking the pool. The place is made of concrete or stone, so the soundproofing is very good, air-con was great, Wi-Fi was strong, though a bit intermittent, though there were two networks to choose from, and one of them was always working. A Super Che supermarket was 200 metres away for snacks, and other provisions. Mostly Canadian & American guests, not Mexican, so a bit nosier crowd than we were used to. Staff was very friendly and helpful, restaurant was reasonably priced and excellent. Sopa Azteca was great, as well as their tiramisu. Chef is very good. They have a partnership with two services at Chahué Beach, perhaps 300 metres away, one is a beach club with a restaurant and place to sit next to the beach, the other is a spa, with a gym, tennis court, and lap pool. Also all of our financial transactions with them were totally smooth.

Room Tip: 1st floor is poolside, 3rd floor is quieter, our junior suite was quite large

Stayed at Hotel Villablanca this February. The hotel is nicely located close to beaches, restaurants and shopping. The staff are outstanding!!! The on site restaurant is generally very good, however stay away from special occasion meals and BBQ's, as they are understaffed, and the quality of food is definately not the same. The hotel has alot of repeat guests, especially snowbirds, which unfortunately has created a very "clicky" environment. This was observed by several other guests, which could affect the reputation of this cute little hotel. For us newcomers, the pool is a great way to meet people and share your days adventures. Definately a great value, and you cannot beat the guaranteed hot weather of Huatulco.

Room Tip: "Poolside on second floor"

So, six trips to the Bahias, third stay at the Villa Blanca; and we really like it here.

Some of the critiques offered up in other reviews are certainly valid - little things here'n there - but the VB brings the bigger things together in a way that works overall into a positive environment. It's a bit rustic in a natural sort of way, well kept and comfortable in all respects. Everything is clean, the pool is a pleasant hang out on a hot afternoon, the restaurant is reliably good and the service is, at times, outstanding.

The rooms are plain but serviceable, we've had the loft and the standard double with A/C, safe, bar fridge on demand, flat screen TV we've never used, good wi-fi throughout, typically firm Mexican mattresses, limited drawer and closet space, shower/toilet with separate vanity, plentiful hot water...all you need after a day on the beaches, cruising around town or up the coast.

And the staff... well, they're great. Friendly, good attitude, happy, attentive and surely add value to the whole experience there. And the senior guy, Javier is a pro with a knack for margueritas.

The optional breakfast plan is a good deal - the daily buffet has a reasonable variety of standard fare with some Mexican influenced variations, and you can always custom order if you want something done to your liking. If you're feeling lazy and laid back, the restaurant will serve you up a fine meal as good as most you'll find in town. We had them do up a mackeral we caught and they put together a full meal deal for six of us that was as good as it gets. There's a wine story in there that would take way too long to explain, but the bottom line is a couple of those fine folks went the extra mile to insure we got the wine we wanted.

By and large, our stays have been very pleasant and peaceful, but things can get a little more lively during Mexican holidays, but that applies to the whole area in general, pretty quiet with moments of rambunctious energy and fun.

Usually once a week or so - not sure exactly - there's some entertainment in the restaurant that has, on occasion, compelled us to stick around, grab a cocktail and a snack, then head into town later.

So bottom line: this is our go-to place.
