Tried to get in the Carmenere Restaurant in same shopping area but it was full. Saw Bento and being already parked decided to go in. Nice decor. Attentive waiters. Good service and excellently presented food. Sushies were great! Will certainly go again. BTW a bit expensive but fresh

Acapulco as a whole was a bit of a disappointment when it came to dining out. Bento was not only a great restaurant, but on my top 3 list for best sushi restaurant I've ever visited.
The presentation was beautiful. Since you don't "cook" sushi, the sign of a great sushi chef is the presentation of the food. The plates were unique, the rolls cut precisely, and always a bit of flare in the "architecture" and theme of the roll.
The fish quality was top notch. Bento obviously has a good buyer and great quality control in handling the fish because everything looked and TASTED perfectly fresh. There is a big difference between sushi tasting like a fish and sushi tasting fishy.
The restaurant design was unique, serene, and tasteful. The tables are set apart enough that it gave my girlfriend and I a seemingly private experience.
The price was around 1000 pesos ($70 usd 4/1/15) for 2 for food enough to be stuffed and drink enough to be happy.
We ended up eating here 3 times in the 9 days we were in Acapulco and if/when we go back to Acapulco will probably dine here daily.
