My husband and I stayed here for three days in February. He booked the trip and I knew nothing except that we would have a personal jacuzzi in our room and that the food was supposed to be "good". I was skeptical at first because our flight arrived later in the day and we had to find it in the dark - not an easy task given the road and all the turns. The hotel wasn't too hard to find due to all the signs. We'd recommend arriving in the day time but did not have difficulty in our smaller rental car. We were too late for dinner which wasn't a big deal and we were greeted by friendly Juerg who guided us to some cold cervezas and room with a jacuzzi! At breakfast the next day that we realized how amazing the food was and although we promised ourselves we'd venture out and eat at other places, we quickly broke that promise. Absolutely everything was delicious and the presentation was fantastic - at great prices! We loved how private and quaint the property is and it felt like we had the place to ourselves much of the time. We went into Todos Santos several times and we liked that it was farther away (10 minute drive) but not inconveniently so. There is a great little hiking trail to the ocean and the very first day we were there we found baby sea turtles scattered along the beach and put them back into the water before the birds got to them. The seawater pool is super refreshing and perfect for poolside reading. There is an area for exercise, swinging hammocks, and even table tennis in the garden. The garden itself is gorgeous and we've never seen so many hummingbirds in one place. All the other guests were friendly and we made polite conversation when we wanted but for the most part, were able to enjoy an extremely relaxing and intimate time with just the two of us. The property is gated and we felt very secure our entire stay. Juerg and Libusche are the most gracious and attentive hosts and we kept saying to ourselves," this place only received 9.3 out of 10?!" We'd give it an eleven.

Room Tip: We loved having the outdoor jacuzzi attached to our room!

My husband and I spent three days at Posada La Poza at the beginning of March. What an idyllic place! You feel you are personal guests of the kindly and attentive host and hostess, Jurgen and Lybusche. Our room was gorgeous, with a balcony facing the setting sun. The pool and jacuzzi were crystal clean and the large garden was filled with flowers. We ate lunch and dinner at the hotel each day and the food was superb. I would highly recommend this place to any one wishing for a few days of rest and relaxation in a glorious, peaceful setting.

The grounds of this boutique property are very well maintained, and one can tell that the owners have invested a lot of energy and thought into designing this place into an oasis. The property is completely private and quiet and located directly on the beach. There also is a beautiful pool surrounded by palm trees and other desert plans.

The rooms are comfortable and very spacious. Given that this is more of a bed & breakfast or boutique hotel as opposed to a chain hotel with lots of amenities, you will certainly find everything you need. Dinner is also available during certain times if so desired.

A basic breakfast was included in our room rate, and additional items can be purchased off the menu for very reasonable prices.

The only caveat is that this hotel is located at the end of a very rough (!) dirt road that is rather challenging to navigate. Even though the drive is only about 10 mins from the center of Todos Santos, the short drive can be rather daunting during any rain or at night. It definitely made us think twice about leaving for dinner because it required us having to navigate the road two more times. If that doesn't bother you, at least consider renting an SUV or other proper vehicle as opposed to a small Economy car.

We stayed here for our 10th anniversary and were upgraded to the honeymoon suite! If you can splash out I suggest you book this! The room, bathroom and balcony are massive and very luxurious. Also Jurg kindly gave us tips on driving in La Paz (our next destination) which proved to be very helpful as the police there did stop us for nothing and tried to take 6000 pesos off us! We negotiated them down - thanks Jurg!!
Lovely hotel, lovely people, great location. Stay here any in any of the rooms!

At the end of long dirt road in a seemingly unlikely place is this wonderful little hotel. Posada La Poza sits on a freshwater lagoon just adjacent to Todos Santos' Pacific beaches. The property is beautiful with magnificent desert landscaping and sunsets not to be missed. We walked the beach for an hour and literally saw no more than 10 people. The Swiss hosts of the Posada run go out of your way to make you feel at home and the restaurant on site is very good. There is plenty to do in the area (beaches, outdoor and nature activities, art galleries) if you want to, but once you check in, you may decide just to relax. This is not the Hotel California. They will let you leave, but you won't want to. Skip the zoo in Cabo and stay here instead.
