“Surpassed all expectation!”
Reviewed 27 February 2017 for a stay in February 2017

The ease of registration, the beauty of the location and the building, and the access to great restaurants and great surf made for an incredible last minute get-away that will not soon be forgotten! It will be our new "Go-to place"!

“Quiet Mexico”
Reviewed 20 February 2016 for a stay in January 2016

There are still areas of Mexico where you can get away, relax, and enjoy the sun. Osprey is such a place.

Our time there was extremely enjoyable, From the house you can look up and down 3 miles of sand beach…and hardly see anyone at all. The local region is well set for tourists and your experience can be very local in the small community or expand to very nice dinning in adjacent small towns.

The house is very beautiful, well maintained and cared for and equipped for your stay and is completely comfortable just to sit back, enjoy the surroundings and relax.

So, if you want to have time in Mexico, in the the sun, that is not a all inclusive resort this is a definite place to consider.

“Wow! We didn't want to leave!”
Reviewed 16 February 2016 for a stay in February 2016

If you get the chance, stay in the Osprey Suite! We chose this place on the Baja because of its quiet location right on an uncrowded beach that goes on forever and for the panoramic ocean view on the website. The reality is even better!

We had family staying in both ground floor suites and we all agreed it was our best Mexican vacation ever. We appreciated the Osprey's comfortable living room (there were three sofa-beds) and kitchen with incredible views from every window, the colorful Mexican tiled bathroom with great shower, the big bedroom with cross-breezes comfy king bed and LOTS of storage, extensive outdoor living spaces with loungers and a hammock to watch sunrises, sunsets and surfers and the endless sound of the surf.

After spending a week in a different holiday home that was not this well-appointed we were spoiled with plenty of towels, good bed linens, and handy basics like coffee filters, salt & pepper and plenty of T.P. The welcome bottle of wine and reliable internet were a bonus. We found Russell friendly and easy to communicate with but not intrusive. The entire rental process was seamless.

The rural setting at El Pescadaro is relaxing with winding dirt roads and farms, but still offers restaurants nearby and plenty of places to pick up groceries and beverages: perfect for people who a little more independence on vacation. A variety of beaches to the north and south offer different experiences from “serene oasis” to “busy beach club”. Todos Santos is 10 min away on a good highway if you’re looking for a charming town with great shopping and art displays.

We enjoyed exploring in our rental car (having your own vehicle really lets you get the most out of the area) but at the end of the day we always felt like we were returning to the best place possible!

“Luxury off the beaten track”

The Osprey is a fantastic place to get away from the tired tourist lunacy that lies south in Cabo. Located on the sand near the end of of a long, desolate beach, it offers a mix of luxurious amenities, tranquil charm, and gorgeous scenery. The units are attached to a large, sturdy, communal palapa over a concrete patio, which is ideal for whiling away the warm days out of the sun. The sounds you hear most are the crashing waves and a comforting breeze. The bright sand beach is wide and inviting for a morning run or a sunset walk, a little surf casting for roosterfish, and there's a good surfing point about 500 yards north.

While this place is about 2 miles off the main highway, there are several local restaurants (Hierbabuena) and an excellent coffee bar (Baja Beans), and a small, upscale market between here and the highway. The affable owner was in town while we were there, and he introduced us to some of the local expats and gave us some pointers on where to go for dinner and supplies. So while you are very remote, some of the local amenities feel like they were lifted straight out of Sonoma. In addition, you can drive into Todos Santos in about 15 minutes, and check out the markets and art galleries of town. Wifi was included and worked well, so you have all the modern conveniences to ease you into the peaceful vibe. My tip: rent an SUV when you come to town, because the dirt roads will be easier to navigate

“Sublime Seaside Splendor”

This is a really special place. Thus our group of friends has returned for a second stay. The house is luxurious and well maintained. It is designed with three separate and fully independent suits that can, as we did, be joined as an extensive villa.
The surf-side location is idyllic, with dramatic views up and down the coast. It is situated in bucolic area with some surprisingly world-class restaurants and coffee houses (that locally roast their beans) nestled into countryside. Tres chic in the tropic!
Really enjoyed local explorations along the coastline - particular Hidden Cove just to the north, nearby artistic community and sea turtle hatching sanctuary a short stroll down the beach.
Look forward to our next stay here.
