First of all, this is Rosarito, so I did not expect luxury accomodations. The rooms definitely exceeded my expectations, so I was pretty happy about that. There are a couple of bars, but it seems that they are not always staffed. I was most concerned about the ooutdoor bar in the pool area being staffed, and it always was. The view is beautiful. There is a disappearing pool overlooking a cliff. During the day, you can wander down and walk on the coral and rocks below. As soon as the afternoon hits and the tide rises, the rocks and coral are completely covered by water and it's pretty neat thinking that you were just walking down there a few hours ago.
This place is a good place to go and relax for a couple of days. I have not tried the food, because it's just more fun going outside of the hotel.
I went to the spa on one day and got THE BEST pedicure I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY ENTIRE life! They use rocks that are heated by the sun to give you a massage, and the room is overlooking the ocean. Very peaceful and nice.
Again, this is Rosarito, so the standards were not set high to begin with. I think this hotel deserves 4 stars on the basis alone.More
