This is a self contained resort catering for Americans who drive down from the North in their big four wheel drives. It caters for then very well. It has a lovely beach and pool and golf course. There is a restaurant called a wine bar on the campus, that says it serves tapas but actually serves oversize Mexican with lots of refried beans. The on site restaurant has all the atmosphere of a school gym. The Staff were helpful and the room had s sea view. It is a convenient place to stay if you are visiting Loreto and have transport, but it is 7 Km out of town.

Loreto Bay was visited for golf. The resort is not a part of this. The golf course which we were told was owned by multi million maybe billion aire Carlos Slim was a real pit.
As you drive in the first reaction of all six of us was. “OMG is this disgusting what a pit.” Get out of the taxi and get blasted by the overwhelming odor of some type of room deodorizer that is enough to make you sick.
Nobody greets you or tells you where to go.
Dirt and dust broken concrete everywhere.
Pay for golf and carts have to ask the guy to bring them and when they finally do they are so dusty you can’t sit in them.
No range balls to hit not even to buy by the bucket. No signs to where you go because they’re all broken. Cart paths dirt and mud. I’ve said enough...
Suffice to say not a good golf experience.

I ask for an apology for your experience, I inform you that the golf course is in a process of remodeling and change, the signage of the holes have been changed, we have 600 members and the comments are relatively positive.
We would give us the opportunity to serve you again.

We had a great time! Went for my 60th birthday. Staff had built a cake, and wrote happy birthday on the bed which was waiting for us. The staff went above and beyond to meet our needs. Some staff were exceptional and will mention by name. Cristol, Jenorro, and Jorge at the front desk helped us several times with various requests and info. Marisio who was the DJ for the dance on Tuesday night, was super and danced with us. David, the bartender at the beach was very friendly and made awesome drinks. Jorge who worked the pool area mainly, was super sweet and gave us great service. Ventura was a great waiter in the restaurant and gave us awesome service. I spent a day on the Mad Dash with my boyfriend fishing. Jose, the captain and his first mate Juan, worked very hard to help us catch fish, and they were great to spend the day with. Brian one of the salesman, helped me become a member without any high pressure sales. He did a great job presenting the information. All in all, a very enjoyable trip. Will return again in a year or so. Not a busy party place like Cabo but was very relaxing and the scenery was beautiful!!

I guess for those of us who travel in Mexico a great deal we know that there are no four a half star hotels.
The best part about this place is the people. The service was as great as it could be given the fact they were way understaffed. And housekeeping would come at 6 PM or 9 PM at night. Leftovers on the buffet were common every day.
Rooms and beds very old as was everything outside.

The resort is 15 m aprox from Loreto, we decided to rent a car because taxis were a little expensive and it’s always better to move whenever you want. Well, Loreto Bay has an amazing beach, really calm and peaceful. You could easily stay relaxed on the beach all day long. It’s super clean and clear. The first night we had a small inconvenient with the AC , it was noisily leaking and didn’t cool; once we reported it , they gave us an upgrade to an ocean view!!! All the staff was nice and kind. There’s extra activities to do, like kayaking and paddling. We also hiked a little heel next to the golf campus. Definitely we had a great long weekend here!
