“Comfort with Atmosphere”
Reviewed 24 February 2015 for a stay in February 2015

Just returned from 8 wonderful days studying Spanish in La Paz.
My friend and I chose to stay in Casa de la Vaquita because of its charming
traditional look online and because of the stellar reviews by former
visitors. We made a brilliant choice!
Not only was the house just a few blocks from Se Habla La Paz, it
gave us a serene refuge from the bustle of the town while being directly
in the heart of it. After school, we relaxed on the cheerful patio, watching hummingbirds
feeding on the Tamarind tree, cooked delicious meals in the huge and
completely outfitted kitchen with ingredients from
the organic farmers' market just a block away or from the market across the
street.
The delightful owners, Christine and Kevin, responded to our every inquiry yet gave
us total privacy. We spent a delightful afternoon with them, touring the harbor
and visiting nearby mangroves, then anchoring just off the malecon to watch the
spectacular Carnaval parade.
Much has already been said, all of it good, about this very special house and its
welcoming hosts. If you want to stay in a beautiful, historic, colorful, artistic house
with all the modern amenities, I highly recommend staying in Casa de la Vaquita.
