If you are looking for a bare bones place to stay near Ensenada, this is a good spot. Clean safe and the people at the front desk are nice. There are beachfront rooms available at a higher cost. I stayed in non beachfront room. An uber ride to town costs about $3.

Room Tip: There are beachfront rooms available at a higher cost. I stayed in non beachfront room. An uber ride to town costs about $3.

Everything was great. It seems to me one of the major issues with hotels in Ensenada or Baja in general is the water. We were able to take warm actually hot hot showers and our beds were very comfortable.

Do not stay here!! Our party paid for 3 rooms for 3 nights but after the first night the clerk, Javier, tried to scam us for more money. Said the owners "demanded" that he collect more $ for one of the nights. Then he said one of the rooms would not be available and folks in that room would have to move to another hotel. After a few minutes, it was a different room that was unavailable. He was cryptic and evasive and his story changed minute by minute. These folks were NOT busy, he could have easily moved us to a different room if he wanted to. We're convinced he was simply trying to scam us for more money. After an hour's worth of wrangling, we eventually demanded a refund. We threatened to call the police if he didn't come up with a refund. To his credit, he came up with the refund and when it was available we left immediately. WE WILL NEVER RETURN. STAY AWAY!!!

It was hard to find at night in the dark, but we eventually located it on the right (ocean) side about 3 or 4 km south of the toll booth on the Tijuana-Ensenada toll road. Though it's at km 103, there are no road km markings, so the address didn't help us to find it. As you head south, it's just after the Calimax supermarket and Pemex gas station.

We stayed in a cabin room close to the office and were well satisfied with the room. Newly-renovated and with new towels, linens, bedspread, chair and ottoman. Thick plaster walls make the bathroom private. A good TV and the WIFI signal was decent. There are security gates with a desk clerk 24 hours.

The property is oceanfront, and there are some ocean-view rooms down by the water for around $100. The property has it's own private stairway going down to the beach, and you can take some nice pictures of Ensenada Bay, looking south.

Listed on Priceline and BookIt.com as California Trailer Park & Hotel. There are RV pads and a nice shower building for the campers.

Room Tip: Closest to the office has the best WiFi

This hotel has a grand tradition. Our first visit goes back to 1972. The rooms are a bit small by today's standards, but when you look around you are impressed by the good repair. Our bed was very comfortable and there was ample hot water in the clean bathroom. You can hear the surf in some of the rooms near the ocean - a wonderfully soothing sound. The ambiance has gone a little more upscale with the times and the grounds are very neat. We arrived here after midnight some time ago and went to the location of the former office and couldn't rouse anyone. Unbeknownst to us, the office is now a little further in, near the security barriers. It is attended 24 hours a day. Oh well! We made this discovery on this, more recent, visit. Check-out time is noon. The WiFi worked well in our room (#6)

Room Tip: When you arrive late at night go down near the barriers - that's where the office is now located. It's open 24 hers.
