The best part about this resort was its serene location (albeit remote), and the surrounding scenery you get from the view along the common area / balcony of your room. Also, the local thai food served at the kitchen was pretty good, although pricing were marginally on the higher side as opposed to other places in Ao Nang.
However, I must say I expected more from a 4 star resort especially given the slightly higher room rates, plus the fact that its location was relatively remote.
Despite its remote location, the shuttle timings to Ao Nang centre were not practical at all, and the adhoc transportation / airport shuttle services were ridiculously expensive. Secondly, the rooms appeared seemingly old and untidy - we actually discovered blood stains on our sofa. The toiletries provided were very basic, and they did not even provide disposable shavers on request. There were also not many activities to do for families. There was a table tennis table but the balls lacked air in all of them. How expensive it is to supply fresh pingpong balls?
There also seems to be little or no effort in the decoration of the place despite it being the festive christmas season. The “makeshift” christmas tree looked very cheap, and the decorative lighting was minimal. The entire resort at night basically looked like a deadtown amidst such a festive season.
I would definitely not recommend this to anyone unless you intend to disconnect yourself from the hustle and bustle of Ao Nang completely, or are on an intensive meditation trip for complete “me-time”.
