Been to Thailand many times over many years, but we had never been to Krabi before so when we had a few extra days on a trip at the end of Nov 2019 we thought check it out. Poonsiri was very highly rated and with the unique bungalows on the small lagoon and quiet setting we decided it would be worth a visit. The resort and rooms are very nice and it’s very very quiet here. The rooms are large and comfortable with a nice balcony overlooking the lagoon. The open air restaurant has decent food. Breakfast buffet was fine though a few more choices would have been nice. WiFi was terrible. Very spotty and often not working at all. I called a few times but eventually just gave up and used my phone as a hotspot when I needed to get work done on the laptop. Biggest issue is distance to Ao Nang and the shuttle bus. They offer a ride into town 4 times per day and pickup 3 times per day. This is fine when you want to go or return at those hours, but if you need to go at another time there is a charge each way. Would suggest renting a car or motorcycle if you plan to go out from the resort a lot. Overall it’s very nice and I’d recommend it.More

Best in krabi !

This hotel is absolutely stunning with amazing staff. The rooms were beautiful, you can kayak the lake, my favorite thing was the breakfast because of the variety, the food in the restaurant and drinks where all good. Would 100% go back for another stay.

With no much information about Krabi , i have reached here today at Poonsiri resort which i found it rally a relaxing place and calm the staff were so nice and friendly and rooms are good and big enough..

amazing hotel if you are looking quiet place

10 minutes ride from the town (they offer free shuttle bus and tuk tuk costs only 150 thb), near by the best beaches (I prefere Klong Muang beach and Nopparathara instead of Ao Nang), very quiet place (if you are looking for parties or late night out dont stay here), but if you want to surround yourself with river, lake and mountain views - the best place in Krabi.
deep and big swimming pool, free bycicles and kayaks, gym, table tennis.
For breakfast could be some changes but variety was quite ok especially if you like Asian style breakfast. good choice of fruits and fresh vegetables, salad bar. althrought bread choice could be improved (and maybe could be changed to bakery bread, not bread from supermarkets).

Aonang bay is a beautiful tourist attraction which is one of the best landmark in Krabi province. A harmonious mixture of land, sea, lagoon and moutains are truly natural masterpiece. Tourists will be fascinated by a stunning scenery and enjoy the tranquil atmosphere.

Poonsiri Resort Aonang is an exquisite resort in the form of grand layout villa (35 rooms) lies in the midst of mountains, lagoon and mangrove forest.

There are several activities you will find at Poonsiri Resort Aonang with plenty of facilities to accommodate customers all day long such as;
- Tantalizing cuisine at the restaurant
- Deluxe swimming pool
- Kayaking in lagoon
- Fully equipped fitness room

All staffs have been well trained to give all their best service to customers to be comfortable as much as possible. There is a sense of southern style from Krabi province which you will find it’s very unique. Safety precaution for customers is the main priority that comes from board of committees’ policy.

Horrible experience

We had taken the most expensive Villa in The property but the customer service from was horrible and very very bad.

We checked in on the 4th July and since that day the air conditioner in one of the room wasn't working. I complained many many times but for full three days nothing was done. I had to sleep in really very hot room and had sleepless nights for continuous 2 nights.

Also in my room there was white ANTS right next to my bed and falling on my head the whole night.

Also the Villa was full of insects and lizards and not cleaned properly.

The staff there is absolutely non co operative. Even if they understand English, it seems they pretend not to understand

I can share all the pictures required.

Also they will charge a big amount for a very very small damage that was caused by us and also the amount was charged without my authorization.

They will put in less bath towels and when we check out they will charge us a fine by saying that the towels are missing. this is a big gimmic that they play and a way to make money.

Room tip: Recommended not to select this hotel. Even if you do please be very very careful with all the amenities and toiletries .
