Review of Catfish Farm

Catfish Farm
Reviewed 24 July 2017

It looked promising on the promotional video. The setting was good...natural, green, even a small waterfall...lots of fish. But that's about it. We expected to see a bit more fauna apart form a pet dog, a baby monkey (whose mother was chained like a dog), a caged goat, a pig in the brush, and a sleeping crocodile in a bricked enclosure. The place is in a state of disrepair. What a shame. It has such potential. I wouldn't go until something is done to improve it.

Average experience, Lots of mozzies!
Entrance: 100 THB per pax.

Crocodile. Pig. Goat. Fish. Educational trip for children. Like jungle, dirty & not maintained.
Would be better if roads are properly laid & more pple can come. Not suitable for the old.

Be careful if u got young children, we saw snakes loitering around.

Suitable 1hr trip.
Have to drive over/ taxi over.
Best to rent car at Krabi.

Rem to wear long Sleeves, bring mozzie repellent!

Lastly if u have other places to visit, u may like to skip this. L

My partner and I visited the catfish farm in May 2017. I would advise not to visit. The place is run down, the animals are not well looked after, the environment in which they live is also run down which is very sad to see. The fish in the aquarium are hardly visible due to the water clarity being almost brown. The crocodile has no room to turn around in its enclosure and the tortoises did not have any food. Lastly, a 1 1/2 month old kitten was housed in the same enclosure with a goat. The kitten was terrified. The lady that owns this place is from America, and should know better than to leave a kitten in the same enclosure as a goat, no mother cat or food/drink. This place is meant to be a rescue for animals however, the place needs a revamp and the owner/s need education into how to look after their animals. I advise you to spend your money and time elsewhere.

Its a difrent funny place. Just walk true the jungel and feed the fishes in the ponds, look at the rescued turtels and the crocodils. Feed the crazy goat ore pig. Its just crazy and fun for all ages.
