I last visited this restaurant a couple of years ago and the decor hasn't altered. It is looking a little tired and a freshen up would do the restaurant a lot of favours.
However, you do not just go the a restaurant for the decor, the food has to stand alone. And once again the food was delicious. It was a birthday treat and it didn't disappoint.
For starters we ordered the hummus and moutabal baba which came with steaming pitta breads. Our main course was the chicken brouchettes, lamb tagine and kofta tagine with a side order of Moroccan spiced rice. We could not fault the food, however a word of warning that the tagines are as hot as the centre of the sun!
If you are a little tired of Indian food (whereby your sense are assaulted with chillis etc) the spicing at the Marrakech is just right. I could eat this type of food all day.
