A very confusing lounge. We were greeted by the head bartender who did not seem concerned with serving us (maybe our wristbands were not the right color?) He seemed more interested in serving locals or those who made their presence so obnoxious that they could be ignored no longer. The drinks were reasonably priced (outside of the mandatory 15% gratuity and 7.5%VAT tax). Some servers (name might rhyme with SHMASHONTE) did not seem interested in doing any work at all. Considering the economy of Freeport I would think they would all be happy to have jobs, not to mention getting 15% regardless of your work ethic. The main bartender and his partner seemed to do most of the work while other employees sat behind the bar on their phones.
nice set up, chairs, tables, stools, etc. But I did NOT go to the Caribbean to have American College football BLASTED into my eardrums from the bar TV overriding the muffled music in the background.
Many thanks to Angela and CoraLee for their quick and friendly service!
Advice: If you want to have a few relaxing drinks, buy your own and drink them where you like or hit one of the many pubs in Port Lucaya Market.
I think there is supposed to be a "swim up bar" area (there were stools and a counter top) but no employee ever appeared interested in serving anyone there.
