So the hotels in Grand Bahama are not great - that's well know by anyone that visits often which is a shame as the island is beautiful and it needs the business but this one , well this one gets 5 stars on the dreadful hotel wall of fame.

Security and front of house staff that are inept , lax and have an incredibly bad attitude .

Rooms that are tired , dirty and quite frankly look like some thing of a 70's porno movie .

No hot water for two days because it was raining - yes seriously ! Warm tepid water on the last day morning ...

Discuss with front of house on last day where I voice my feedback and get an " oh really " ! The couple next to me when the query the bill get a terse " I just print the bill ".

They lock the hotel up at night and when you get back ( not late ) say 11.30 pm have to climb over a wall and gate to get in - the next morning the security guards says you are not allowed to do that and he was watching and the gate was unlocked !!!! I waited for half an hour, so clearly he could not be bothered to do anything

Unbelievable - all the hard work that the island does to promote itself after the dreadful time to encourage people to visit can be ruined by places like this - they should shut it down

If you're looking for a quiet escape with beautiful surroundings, I highly recommend this resort! I've visited twice, and both times found the property to be very well maintained. The rooms are very clean and landscaping is nicely tied into the property's layout, and is well cared for. The pool, fitness center and recreation area are also well maintained, clean and all serve to make the resort a great value. Even more outstanding; however, are the resort staff! They are friendly, welcoming, accommodating, and really go out of their way to ensure that guests are enjoying their stay. I've stayed at other resorts with similar amenities, but the customer service here, coupled with the cheerful and relaxing location makes this a standout and favorite destination that I look forward to visiting again soon!

We recently visited Sunrise Resort for the first time as took a boat trip from the states with a group of boats. We had no idea what to expect as we had heard some really nice things about the resort. They were right as the service and attention was fantastic. Upon arrival there were some issues with our room, however, Tasha took control of the situation and acted with upgrading us. It is not fancy , however, it is clean and everyone who works at the resort will go out of there way to help you . Next time we go on our annual fishing trip, Sunrise is the place we are staying.

A very nice place to rest, relax & take in the sun. The room was neat & clean. I wished I could get internet connection in my room but it gave me a reason to take a short walk. The landscapng was very well kept. The pool was clean.

My son and I stayed this past weekend at this resort which is located in close proximity to the airport. If you are feeling down once you arrive in the area of the resort it brightens up your life. The property colours of orange and white just makes you feel happy and relaxes your mind and brings that additional island sunshine in. The staff members are very accommodating in particular the General Manager Mrs. Cuccurullo who goes out of her way to make sure that you enjoy your stay. The entire property is extremely clean and the landscape was well groomed. The one bedroom suite that we stayed in was also very clean, it has a Jacuzzi in the on suite bathroom, a living room, a half bath and a small kitchen area. The amenities are endless, e.g. pool, bike cycles, jet skies, wifi, just to mention a few. It overlooks the canal and the entire area is very peaceful and relaxing. I would recommend this jewel resort to anyone.

Room tip: Try the suite it is very spacious and it has a lot of natural light.
