Our trip to Atlantis was amazing! The grounds and beach are beautiful! Walking through the aquarium, especially at night, was enchanting. The photos don't give it justice! The Beach hotel wasn't fabulous, but it was the most affordable option. It was your average 90's style beach room. We traveled there last fall and are going back this October! Oh, and the waterpark made me feel like a kid again!

I visited in July with my husband and 2 kids, 10 and 7. We loved it here so much. There was so much for all of us to do, the kids loved being in the pools, the water slides, we enjoyed the activities in the hotel and around the area. The only problem we had was that in the Bahamas everything is triple the cost of what the original price is. You have the cost of something plus gratuity plus their taxes. Their tax is at 13% plus gratuity is also automatically added even if yout just go to most bars and get your own drink. The tax is the highest of any other country I have visited and maybe I didn't want to give that much of a gratuity for slow service. Bahamas,I don't know how your going to draw more tourism while your extorting so much money from tourist.

This was our second time to Paradise Island, the first was about 25 yrs ago and we stayed at Pirates Cove which was independent then but has now been rebuilt as the Cove and now a part of the Atlantis resort. The resort was nowhere near as big then. Now it is an amazing place to visit with plenty to do and see. We loved the rapids river tube ride even though people were getting thrown out at times it was lots of fun. The staff everywhere were very friendly but sometimes the ride staff had a don’t care attitude. The beach was lovely apart from my husband took 2 steps onto the sand and ended up with a nasty gash in his toe. With blood pouring everywhere the beach towel hut staff were rather slow to help. There are signs telling you to leave your towels on loungers and not to do any heaving lifting on vacation. This is a ridiculous idea! It makes the place look untidy and when you arrived to the pool later in the day it was hard to find a vacant lounger - the trouble was they were mostly vacant but with dirty used towels on. The signs should read “ Please return towels after use”. The pool at the beach tower was in my opinion one of the nicest. We walked to Dunkin Donuts for breakfast which was not far, but like everyone says food at the resort restaurants is very expensive and then 27% is added in gratuity and tax. Luckily we knew this and had budgeted for it. On arrival we were upgraded to a water view room which totally made the holiday much more enjoyable. I do not understand why you cannot check in at the Beach Tower instead of having to do the long walk from the Coral though! The only thing that spoiled my holiday were some noisy people in the room next door and an uncomfortable bed.

Room Tip: Water view room is amazing

Nice beaches, beautiful grounds but extremely pricey when it comes to the rooms and food. Rooms were mediocre with high rent district pricing. Food was way over priced for the quality. If you are there on business the water parks are useless. Great place for families with small kids.

While overall Atlantis has a lot to offer everyone from the water parks, amazing marine life to the exceptional restaurants onsite, and picture perfect beaches, the room at The Beach Tower was totally subpar. Unfortunately, I would not stay in this Tower again - it’s a 2 star room masquerading at a 5 star resort. Too many issues with the room to list here but suffice it to say that your money is better spent staying in another Tower altogether.
