“Avoid this place!”
Reviewed 23 December 2011

Although the location was very good for Club Land'Or with easy access to Atlantis, it is a place to be avoided. Very run down, in need of an HGTV major makeover. Every faucet dripped and the toilet works sometimes. Staff was friendly, not real helpful in terms of assisting with luggage, etc. Rooms were cleaned daily with towels replaced. Carpets need to be replaced. There is a odd smell as you walk along the corridors to the rooms. With the variety of really good places to eat on Paradise Island and other areas on Nassau, the restaurant, the Blue Grotto is not a place to eat, very expensive. One of the guests had her IPad stolen while we were there. The final blow was the $24.95 per person, per day charge for "service". This was an exchange for our very nice timeshare in Cable Beach and there is definitely no comparison. When we spoke with natives on the island, they were very aware of the condition of this place. Avoid it at all possible.

Club Land’or takes great pride in our helpful, friendly Bahamian staff and we appreciate your positive thoughts there. The resort is currently undergoing renovations which include flat screen televisions, fresh paint, kitchen and bath appointments, beds and linens and carpeting. Please bear in mind that the corridors are open breezeways that are open to the Caribbean Sea air. The onsite Blue Lagoon Restaurant is a favorite of locals and visitors alike and is highly recommended by the Ministry of Tourism and Fodor’s reviewers. The restaurant is very competitively priced with other fine dining sites on Paradise Island. We cannot address issues with other guests on this site, but in-room safes are provided free of charge and we offer 24-hour security and front desk service. Club Land’or is located on a private island, so nightly fees help offset electricity charges, island security, trash collection, etc. As an exchange guest, all our exchange partners notify their members of this fee upon booking, then upon confirmation (in writing). Also, our reservations department’s confirmation contains the information, and finally it is displayed on the front desk at the resort.

My friend and I stayed at Club Land'or in the Bahamas and found it to be a wonderful location in a nice quiet resort on the water. The views are awesome and it is conveniently located near shopping and entertainment. The facilities are very clean and adequate and the people very helpful. The food was great and it was fun to be able to sit by the pool and have a drink and snacks.
I loved the convenience to the shopping near-by and the views of the yachts in the harbor. One day we took a boat excursion through the resort, to the small islands off the coast and that was so much fun. Again, the food was great and the swimming on the reef was awesome. It was a wonderful way to spend the day We look forward to going back again and I will definitely plan on to Land'or as soon as possible. Thanks for the wonderful accommodations.

We at Club Land’or appreciate your comments and are very happy with your decision to return to us. Our experienced staff strives to ensure that all our guests are relaxed and “de-stressed” before they leave. We are indeed in the middle of all the excitement of Paradise Island (easy walking distance to restaurants, unique Bahamian shopping and the largest casino in the Caribbean) but maintain our "laid-back" island demeanor. Our Rose Island Cruise that you enjoyed is one of our most popular activities, as is our Sunday Night Native Barbeque and Limbo Show. Thank you again and we look forward to your next visit with us in Paradise!

We stayed at Club Landor for 2 weeks and it was very enjoyable. Our room looked right over the harbor and it was nice to look out at the yachts and listen to the night life and the music on the other side. Our room was not fancy but adequete and the room service was great, we had clean bedding and towels every day. The people that worked there were very freindly and accommodating.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that over looks the harbor and a room on the second floor allows you to have a better...

My partner and I enjoyed our week stay at Club Land'Or last year. The resort is a small friendly place that is in a key location on Paradise Island. It is in walking distance to the beaches, the casino at Atlantis and many shops to fill all your needs. Huge beautiful yachts were docked alongside our room. On many nights there were activities, dancing and local music, happening at dockside. If you wish to visit or shop in Nassau, the water taxi is footsteps away. The bridge to Nassau is across the street. For dining the pool bar serves great burgers and fries. Evening dining at the Blue Lagoon Restaurant has a wonderful menu. The service people are all friendly and wanting to fill all your needs. By preordering a meal plan, will give you several breakfasts and dinners, is a good buy.

While this was our fifth time at Club Land'or, and we were there the same time pippi22 from Jersey was there, I guess we see things thru different colored glasses...seeing that we didn't notice people frowning, I guess we missed you. I guess if you stayed in the left side of the place, they have had issues with mold, and that complaint is justifiable, they should just moved you to the marina side. Outdated, yes, it ain't Atlantis, it ain't Newark, though. You complained about the Manager's Welcome, and I didn't see any problem with the free food and drinks, and the unrecognizable meat is called ham, although I understand it sometimes glows in the dark in Jersey...sorry that you chose not to attend any of the other activities, the Bahamian BBQ was nice, as always an Action Jackson puts on quite the show. You chided the continental breakfast as a joke, well, it was free, or you could pay five bucks and get two eggs in the Blue Lagoon for breakfast, no joke. I guess the reason you didn't see anyone dining in the Blue Lagoon at night was, it's only open on Friday/Saturday. I don't know, sorry to see you didn't enjoy your stay, honestly, it's probably better off that you stay down the shore, y'know, with Snooki and her crew...
