The property looked stunning online and the reviews were pretty great. We arrived - no one greeted us. We had to ask for help with our bags. The staff were charmless, verging on rude. The only exceptions were Garvin and Rodney in the cafe who were brilliant. The rooms are super comfy and spacious and the pool is great but the staff were SO unfriendly and we didn't feel properly welcome at all.

Fabulous luxury hotel. Excellent gym facilities and swimming pool. Helpful staff and nice bars and places to eat. Location is on north west corner on New Providence Island so a little isolated. However if you like resort type stays there is probably no need to leave the hotel grounds.

An excellent place to stay with a lovely restaurant and good breakfast place. I visited here on business, but only stayed for 1 night. However, the room was very nice with a grand bathroom. The hotel service was very friendly. The swimming pool looked inviting. And the atmosphere was very relaxed. I would definitely stay here again for business or pleasure.

Was recently there for the first time during a business trip and being near Lyford Cay it avoided the dreaded drive to Cable Beach, downtown or Paradise Island. Amazing top notch service, very tastefully appointed rooms that were secluded, large and quiet. What sets this place apart is that it doesn't take itself too seriously and you can be as relaxed or as formal as you want and you fit in perfectly. Unfortunately couldn't eat at Mahogany (where I had dined years ago before the hotel was finished) and enjoyed the coffee bar in the morning. A great place to work (although desk lighting in the rooms isn't ideal) or to relax and unwind. Look forward to my return.

Room Tip: Hard to say. I had a garden room on the gound floor with a private balcony.

I don't think I want to stay anywhere else on my next visit to Nassau. I was met by staff who understand the needs of guests who expect more than the average hotelier. Staff were kind, accommodating, personable, and more than willing to ensure the comfort of my entire stay. The location is less than a 10m ride ($24 Taxi) from the airport. I think I could have arranged an airport pickup. Checking in was effortless and although air traffic can be heard during the day the evenings are generally quiet and serene. There are marina and ocean views from the top floors, but I don't think you'll miss very much by opting for a garden view room. The garden view offers ultimate privacy. The grounds are clean and well kept. It's unfortunate there isn't more to the courtyard. Seems like a missed opportunity here. My room was pristine and tastefully decorated with a minimalist island like touch. The large bathroom offered separate his and her sink setups with a walk in shower and full pedestal tub. I especially liked the energy saving entry key which controlled the door, lights, and cooling system collectively. The patio furniture was fitting for the patio space to allow comfortable lounging for 2-4 people. I had dinner at onsite restaurants Mahogany House and Shima and breakfast at the Coffee House. For a short 2-3 day stay you really don't need more. At the Mahogany House I had grilled prawns, broccolini, sorbet, and octopus which were excellent. At Shima I highly recommend the seared scallop appetizer. The Coffee house is good for a quick healthy breakfast. Room service was fast with the same level of food quality as if you were sitting in the restaurants. Would have been nice to have a small table in the room to accommodate room service needs. Everything about the stay from arrival to departure was a perfect quiet kind of luxury.
