Description: Da Livio is nestled in the heart of Cruz Bay. Offering an exclusive and authentic taste of Italy, we bring you a unique dining experience to the island that's not offered by any other restaurant around. Aside from bringing you a crafted menu, we are also a private distributor of wine and specialty imported goods. Each of our dishes are packed with outstandingly fresh ingredients that are all imported to ensure that we serve our original recipes the way they are indented. Choose from our handmade pastas and sauces to our brick oven pizza- everything is made from scratch, each time. From the Caputo flour, imported from Napoli and used in our dough- to the Faema E61 that is the only one on in the entire islands, come taste the difference and quality with us at Da Livio!

We stopped by Da Livio on our last evening in St. John after happy hour-ing as we weren't in the mood for a big (or expensive) dinner. We grabbed a Diavolo pizza to go and I ordered a wine. When the pizza was ready more quickly than expected, I asked for a to-go glass. The bartender learned that he was out of plastic cups, and they let me take a wine glass so that we could enjoy the pizza on the beach while it was hot. So nice! (I returned it the next morning when we dropped off our Jeep next door.) Thanks again!

The pizza itself was absolutely wonderful. Coal-fired, just the right cheese/crust/sauce ratio. I am pretty picky when it comes to my pizza and this one hit all the right notes. After it was gone, we wished we'd gotten two!

Will definitely return to the spot on my next visit and stay for a full meal in this great spot!

We enjoyed this. The bread is amazing as were the entrees. Service was great, making this a great option to the other restaurants. Only watch out is that the pasta entrees are smaller than I would expect.

We enjoyed our evening at da Livio. We didn't try the pizza, but instead dined on entree size pesto gnocchi and linguini with mussels and clams. Both pasta dishes were outstanding. Rated four stars because we found it a bit overpriced for portion size (yes, even after adjusting for St John pricing).

If one wants a change from Caribbean Fusion Fare, you may want to consider da livio italian restaurant. It is unpretentious with both indoor and outdoor seating and a wood burning oven for pizza. The menu also includes pasta dishes as well as chicken and veal dishes and salads and all are fine but nothing spectacular or to run back to. However, in a town with limited places to dine, if you are there for an extended period of time, this would be a different choice.

Everything on the menu is homemade and wonderfully authentic. The owner/chef Livio hails from northern Italy and takes pride in serving fresh, delicious pastas and entrees. The service is friendly and unhurried. Desserts are house made and delightful. While the pizza is delicious, I would encourage you to explore the entire phenomenal menu. Absolutely the best on the island!
