This "hotel" is NOT in a safe neighborhood (we witnessed drug use right outside), staff was very rude upon check-in AND there was blood on the bed skirt of one of the beds. We stayed two hours and checked right back out. That was a week ago and I'm still waiting on my refund. I told staff about the blood on the bed and she didn't seem phased in the least. There are also MANY stairs and no elevator.
Would NOT recommend this property to anyone. It's advertised horribly inaccurately.

Room tip: Either do a deep clean or shut it down. Period.

The AC was super loud, but if you turn it off the room baked. If you opened the door the mosquitoes got you. The room was definitely clean, but the bathroom was so dated it wasn't hard to tell. The location was great though!
We slept horribly for our first night. It seemed that everyone there was on a very limited budget, or maybe it was the only place they could find.
Parking was really bad, but we were lucky and got one of the two spots in the hotel by a stroke of luck.

Room tip: The AC was louder than the partiers most of the night.

Stayed for 1 night to be close to airport and town. It is a great location but it’s a half star facility in a 4 star location with 4 star staff. Room had nice balcony, bed was worn out, should have been replaced years ago. Interior finishes extremely worn, think fraternity house give away level, peeling paint, mini fridge even has laminate peeling off of it. Took 9 hours to cool off room. Shower had no water pressure. Bathroom door couldn’t be shut. Think old motel along Route 66 that has been allowed to go into dis-repair.
Restaurant has excellent views with great staff. Pool is more like the size of a large spa. And yes be prepared to haul your luggage up a lot of stairs.
I would recommend great place for college kids, really can’t destroy anything, but not for any couple wanting even remotely a “nice” room. Patio door doesn’t even have an outside handle making it hard to close the door to keep your room cool and even harder to reopen.

Friendly staff! Clean rooms, public areas! Steps steps and more steps, but not undoable. We enjoyed this hotel. Some of the fixtures and items were dated, but everything was clean, which is the most important part for me. Great location to restaurants, taxis and the Safari stops, convenience store across the street, 99 steps and Blackbeard’s castle within 2 blocks. We will be back for sure!!!

No hot water at all, hella mosquitoes, and the bed was dusty. Claimed that breakfast is at 7:30-9:30 but when we went at 8:30, they said they weren’t serving it anymore. The stairs to go to our room are horrible! ALSO, parking was a pain in the a$$!!!! Stay away from this place if possible.
