This is the third time we’ve been to Amalia Cafe over the past 8 years - and not even Hurricane Irma could alter their amazing atmosphere and quality. We started with the grilled octopus appetizer. It was cooked to perfection and was recommended by our server - Cara. She was so helpful, knowledgeable and entertaining. She really guided us to some of the best things on the menu. The main courses were delicious - lobster, paella, and steak. And they have a great wine selection - not the typical wine list you get everywhere else. But the service was the true star - Cara was awesome and we loved hearing her tales of island life. We will definitely be back next time we visit the USVI.

My wife and I love this restaurant. Located in a cobble stoned passage on the waterfront, lined with shops, Cafe Amalia is definitely one of St. Thomas' best restaurants. We live on the Island, and eat out a lot. This is one of our favorites. The Paella, and the Zarzuela, are two of our favorite dishes on the menu, although there are many others to choose from. There's also a very respectable wine list, so finding one that pairs well with whatever you order is easy. The ambiance very cosmopolitan, with a mixture of locals and visitors for a clientele. We highly recommend it.

Enjoy sitting in Palm Passage watching people walk by and drinking that great sangria. The food is wonderful and the service very good.

From it’s outdoor setting, to the menu, to presentation, Cafe Amalia brings back memories of our visit to Spain. This really is a lovely restaurant tucked away in Palm Passage in Charlotte Amalia. The tapas and paella really are authentic and combined with their other dishes you have a great dining experience in store. Service was excellent in this gem of a restaurant

From the Zarzuela to the Paella and everything in between--you can't order the "wrong" dish at this in-town, open air gem.
I often order items to pick up on the way home on evenings that I don't feel like cooking.
Whether you are visiting for a few days or living here--The Amalia Café needs to be on your radar!
