Had an early dinner with fine service! The white Spanish wine was perfect with the delicious salad with seared tuna and avocado and warm bread. Amalia Cafe is downtown, nestled near the shopping area. It's charming and a perfect spot for lunch, dinner, or just drinks.

We had dinner on Christmas at this enjoyable Spanish restaurant in a charming setting in Palm Passage, right at the Waterfront. The tapas were exceptional-- especially the salmon & shrimp ceviche. Entrees were also delicious, from our fresh red snapper to the paella chosen by another family member. We even found room for desert, an unusual berry based bread pudding that tasted like local guavaberry (maybe not typical Spanish but still a fine conclusion to the meal.) We liked the wine selection and they also offered a traditional sangria. Service was friendly and attentive. We were told the people dining that evening were mostly local, perhaps because of the September hurricanes, or possibly just that our visitors have not fully discovered this special place, but in either case, it is highly recommended.

This was our first time to Amalia Cafe and definitely not our last! Our friends told us it was an amazing restaurant, so we decided to join them for dinner. The owner is right there to greet you. This was a very nice touch. Since our friends eat here regularly, he chatted with us for a few minutes.
We were all pleased with our dinner. They have by far the best black soup I ever tasted. It was out of this world! The soup was loaded with back beans and had an amazing flavor. For our main course we all ordered the seafood medley. It was loaded with mussels, clams, shrimp and fresh local fish. Everything tasted extremely fresh.
Amalia Cafe is located in Palm Passage in a perfectly private location. It’s a must when you’re on St.Thomas!

Fun place for beers and shots, in the alley way just outside their restaurant. Have been here a few times on a cruise, everyone around the outdoor bar is very friendly.
