After a long day of volleyball camp, we took our coaches for a treat at the Mafolie Hotel & Restaurant. It was very close to where they were staying and how could we deny them that view?!
The service was fantastic but just a bit slow, however we didn't make reservations and the place was packed. The food...was definitely worth the wait!
We shared the crabcakes and conch fritters, YUM. And their mango chutney sauce was a work of art. :-o

I hope they have the Mango Chili Chicken when you go because you absolutely HAVE to try it. Well done kitchen and waitresses! We will be back for that raspberry cheesecake, which was perfect served cold.

Oh I forgot to mention they had a nice man playing guitar which was a nice cherry on top the effortless atmosphere. ♡

Their views were stunning and the food was very good. Marriott's discount got us 10% off, but you need to bring that little blue card.

Were able to park just off the street on the left side. When you go back home, as we did in the dark, turn around just up the hill and go back the way you came. Otherwise, you might find yourself, as we did, going down a narrow, steep very rough road through a not so nice part of town. Have your copilot using google maps calling out directions and to 'stay left!'.

Had conch fritters with a delish hot relish. Can see the FEMA blue tarp for the roof but this place is beautiful . Waitress Sly very attentive.

Filet mignon was done to perfection with great presentation. The snapper was great in both preparations. We loved the garlic bread. Go at sunset, have a drink, and relax as the lights go up in the city and afford yet another pretty sight. Caution with parking.

I have eaten many meals at Mafolie over the years, and more often than not the food is quite good. On a recent visit we had apathetic service that did not do the restaurant justice, and this has been a recurring problem here. Some of the wait staff is experienced and professional, but others could care less. My main course was a jambalaya, and it was nicely prepared and filling. No complaints. My wife's meal was only average on this visit. The hostess is friendly and efficient, but the entire experience was uneven.
