Just got back from T&C. Let me just say, Las Brisas was my absolute favorite dining experience on the island. Without a doubt one of the most beautiful spots I've ever dined at. The wait staff was wonderful and friendly. And, the food was absolutely top shelf.
But, in addition to all that, these guys need and deserve as much business as they can get. The chalk sound side of the island got hammered, and they are still reeling from it's effects.
When we pulled up, we weren't even sure we were in the right place. As it turns out, the original restaurant was destroyed in the hurricane, but they've built a beautiful temporary dining area on a deck overlooking the sound that is spectacular. The kitchen was left more-or-less intact, so they can still crank out delicious food, but they waiters have to run it up the hill to the deck - which they do quickly so the food is still piping hot when it arrives at the tables.
We were there on Friday night, and they had a music teacher from the local school playing sax and flute who would improvise over various pre-recorded backing tracks, and he was fantastic.
These are great people, with a great restaurant, at a spectacular location. Please go there and give them your business and help them rebuilt their business. And, don't be dissuaded by the hurricane damage when you arrive. Just find the new deck and go enjoy!
