Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The standards of Angelo has certainly dropped. I have not been to this restaurant in years and was looking forward to a first class service instead I got an uncouth server and spoilt wine. I will not been going back to this restaurant ever and...will not recommend it. When I complained about the wine being spoilt. I was told that was not possible by a middle aged male server because he had just opened the bottle and ' that it was my mouth that was spoilt'. The wine was clearly oxidized . It was brown in colour. Also when I told the server that his comments were inapproriate he steupsed. We really should have left at that point. The meal itself was nothing special . My shrimp was overpowered by peppercorns which negated the creaminess of the sauce. And to make matters worst Angelo then proceeded to say hello to every table except ours following the service.More

We get into the restaurant at 8 pm and order around 8.15 and get the food at 9.35 which is 25 min before closure . No need to say that a couple who knew the owner get in at 8.30 and got the food at...9.00. Very disappointing to be honest and also for a place being that expensive . Disappointing really .More

Went to have quick lunch. Pre ordered food from lunch special. Food was fresh hot and scrumptious. I was impressed by the varying choices for a prefix menu. I actually need to return to try other items. I had the steak which was more than...enough. Vegetables cooked aldente which I appreciate as most restaurants either over or under cook vegetables. I shared my appetizer with my friend so we got to taste both the stuffed mushroom and the seafood cake. Both were delicious and I would definitely order again. For US23.00 there is no way you can go wrong. Service was also quite good. Note this is a quaint little house with indoor and covered outdoor dining whichever suits you. Not a stuffy modern restuarant.More

A friend of mine recommended me to try Angelos while I visited Trinidad on a short business trip and I loved it. Very good italian options, but very international. The variety of local dishes was also good. I always have meat, but for other likings...will definitely have plenty options.More

I visited with my close friends to celebrate a birthday in July and the service was excellent, food was great. I actually had not been to Angelo's in some years. Roll forward the clock, this Saturday (11 Jan), for my twin daughters' 18th birthday, I...took my family- 5 of us, having made reservations in advance. Restaurant was crowded (happy for them as this is truly a good restaurant). We were seated on the outside portion. Unfortunately, it was hot, there were sporadic drops of water dripping from the ceiling and the waitress was NOT very good- in fact I may go so far as to say, replace her. She is the customer interface. To top off the evening, whilst being served my dinner, as my back was to the wall and busy streets of Ariapita Avenue, a homeless guy was begging me for food/money. Sad but overall, while I do enjoy the food, all else was wrong- not a great 18th birthday for my young ladies. Angelo, please train your staff. you have a brand to protectMore

Angelo's is my favourite restaurant for fine dining in Trinidad. The food is excellent, a wide menu, service very good and the Chef Angelo always there.

We decided to grab a quick lunch, we decided on Angelo’s, you can choose from the regular menu and the lunch menu which has delicious items. I’m a sucker for good customer service and we were treated magnificently. We ate some olives and bread prior...to our meal, the risotto was yummmmm! I highly recommend you pay Angelo’s a visit. You will not regret it!More

We were a group of 10 people and the wait staff was great. No problems taking a large group. Be prepared for no shorts or t-shirts policy. The restaurant is clean with nice decor. The food was great with a wide range of dishes to...choose from - pastas, seafood and meats. Overall it was a great experience and I would definitely go back again.More

The remarkable thing about Angelo's is not the excellent cuisine and impeccable service. For sure, both exist. The remarkable thing, for me, is that after so many years, their standard has been maintained and surpassed. I have been having lunch there with friends once a...month for the past years and we have never been even slightly disappointed. Our lunch at Angelo's is a date that I look forward to every month with earnest!More

My family and I celebrated my mom's birthday at Angelo's. It is perfect for celebrating special occasions! PARKING: There is a parking lot for Angelo's customers arrpoximately 4 buildings away from the restaurant. Otherwise, parking is available on the roadway, but it is such a...short walk to the carpark, we opted for there. SERVICE: The staff is very helpful and polite. We were seated immediately and drink orders taken. My mom and dad were provided with a large variety of vegetarian options including vegetable platters, eggplant parmasean, pasta etc. Food and drinks came very quickly although the restaurant was almost at capacity. FOOD: Delicious! Large portion sizes, enough to have leftovers for a late night meal or breakfast! PRICE: This is a fine dining restaurant so naturally the prices reflect same. Our bill averaged $200/person but it really depends on what you order... OVERALL: This is perfect for couples or families celebrating a special occasion. We will definitely be back!More

There are good seafood options here and the food was excellent, especially the salmon. Parking is available which is always a plus and Angelo's is in a prime location. The ambiance is nice, vintage, but certainly has its appeal. Service was good but varied quite...a bit from person to person that we interacted with. Overall I look forward to returning.More

Three of us had a wonderful lunch with their lunch special menu. I loved the mushroom crepe appetiser and the vegetarian meal was quite nice. My other guests raved over their meals one had mushroom caps appetiser with dolphin as their entree and the other...had soup of the day with pork. We shared a tiramsu that was delicious and although the portions are not huge, we were stuffed by the end of the meal. The servers were very knowlegable and Angelo always comes out to say hello. A really delightful experience...More

After reading reviews I expected much more. I must say the service was good and the atmosphere inviting. We ordered pasta dishes and all had way too much garlic. It was so strong to the point I could not eat it. Prices high portions have...decent. If you know your Italian food not the place for you.More
