Timeshare resort with awesome kitchen with washer and dryer. Save some cash and bring a suitcase full of meat and goodies from the states. Just leave all meat in its original packaging with the u.s.d.a. sticker . Don't need many clothes cause its hot and you can wash them....Cayman expensive yes but you can get around it. Bring food take the bus 2 bucks go anywhere! !!! No crime no peddling definitely worth the extra money
Seven mile beach ahhhhhhhhhhh

We swapped a timeshare to stay here. The location is near Seven Mile Beach but not on it. You need to walk about a minute to get to the beach. It is conveniently located to the beach and you can get to everything on Seven Mile Beach easily. The timeshare is about 25 years old. They were in the process of re-painting while we were there. The unit was a two bedroom with two baths. There are only about 50 units in the complex. The unit was large with lots of storage space in the kitchen and bedrooms. The unit was better than many we have stayed in. There is a nice grilling station (2 grills) with a sink and grilling tools by the pool. Lots of floats at the pool to play with as well as plenty of lounge chairs. The pool was cleaned each day. There is free wifi. The only downside was that the tv reception was bad and the phones didn't seem to work very well. This is an older property. It has good bones and has been maintained. Over all we would stay here again. It was a relaxing and an easy place to be.

Room Tip: Ask to stay in the back close to the beach.

We just got back from a week in Grand Cayman. This "resort" as it is entitled is not a timeshare resort. There is no lobby/concierge with daily activities. The office is on the second floor in one of the units. There are no elevators which we knew about however, I couldn't help wonder how anyone who is handicapped could check in since the office is on the second floor. When you walk into the office there are books and dvds lining the counter. Not very tidy. All rooms are two bed two bath. Our room was clean however very outdated, beds were hard. The beds in the second bedroom were more like large twins instead of a double bed. Pillows were cheap and flat. People were allowed to leave floats to blow freely all over the pool area. We went with another couple and were generally embarrassed at what we exchanged into. We were very disappointed with Interval International for even having this place as an option for exchange. The staff were very nice to us but there is no onsite restaurant but there are restaurants within walking distance. Bring plenty of money because you WILL spend a lot on food. The only food that is reasonable is fast food/burgers/dogs etc. If you are fine with eating like that all week you will have fun. NO SHOPPING in Georgetown except jewelry and cheap tourist T-shirt shops. There is a mall there very nice however there is one store in the entire mall that is still open (another T-shirt shop). Every other store is vacant and we got no explanation as to why. Camana Bay is wonderful however, restaurants very expensive and unless you have money, you can't afford the clothing. Remember, Cayman is 20% higher than USA. They will always charge 20% higher no matter what the economy is. We love to snorkel/dive but had cloudy rainy first part of the week which I think affected the quality and quantity of sea life we saw when we did go. The best part probably was that even though it was cloudy for some of the time, the temperature is always in the mid to high 80s. If you want to go to Cayman stay at one of the high end hotels i.e. marriott etc if you are on Seven Mile Beach but the best place to stay I think hands down is on the East side of the Island at the Reef. We went there to "visit" and show our friends where we stayed last year and they have done a lot more improvements so it was even better than when we stayed there. The Wyndham now owns the Reef and WOW did it look beautiful. It is quiet, not crowded and you have plenty of snorkeling right off the beach. All the units face the beach. They have a restaurant and a beach bar as well as grocery right across the street and a Subway if you want sandwiches. Hope this helps. Just don't stay at Seven Mile Beach Resort if you are used to the timeshare exchange type service. You won't get it there.

Room Tip: If you have trouble with stairs stay on the first floor. In the back there are 9 units with only 8 parking spots.

Very nice stay every year.
You won't find a five star restaurant here or a broadway type show every night.
What you will find is a full kitchen with stainless steel appliances. Two big bedrooms with separate bathrooms. Dining room and living room. A balcony overlooking the pool with two water falls or a walk out patio. Friendly staff and very clean and manicured grounds.
Try getting that on any other resort on the island and compare price.....good luck.
Yes it's not directly on the beach but it is a very very short walk down a paved path to one of the most beautiful beaches in they carribean. Unless you are looking for a Resort type atmosphere....this is the place to stay. Get some fresh fish from the locals downtown and cook them on one of two grills. Then jump into the hot tub and relax without all the hustle and bustle of the over priced resorts.

We stayed at this time share property at the end of March. The unit was clean and the appliances worked well . We did not have any issues with the WIFI - worked well. The property is at a quiet end of 7 mile Beach. It is not on the water but a 60 second walk to the water. There are only 3 umbrellas on the beach and you have to ask for one if they are taken. Unfortunately they are taken bright and early every morning and when you ask for the extra umbrellas they may all be taken. We had to wait 2 days for 1. Cruise people came and took our chairs and no one was monitoring . An owner asked these 2 young cruise ship girls to leave the chairs and they refused and just went to sleep. The beach at this end is quiet but 7 mile Beach is crazy busy and not for us. The furniture is very dated with stains and they really need new beds and pillows. Overall I would say it way a pleasant experience but I would not stay there again due to all of the traffic at that end of the island.
