Hotel is beautiful. Very updated and on a perfect part of the beach. The best part might be the employees. Everyone is so nice and they remember you from one day to the next.

This is not a party location. Perfect for families.

Just returned from a one week stay at the Westin and had a fabulous time. The room was clean and comfortable. The beach was beautiful and clean, as was the pool. The staff was polite and helpful at all times. We enjoyed the food at the hotel restaurants but also were able to walk to other restaurants in the vicinity. The hotel is conveniently located - the bus stops right outside the hotel and there were always taxis on hand. There are 3 restaurants across the street as well as a mini mart and liquor store. There is a coffee shop in the hotel that sells coffee, sandwiches, muffins, soda, etc. as well as a jewelry store and 2 shops with various items for sale. There was a gym and a kids' center for children. The lobby is big and roomy with plenty of seating and has a comfortable bar. There was entertainment in the lobby on several nights of our stay. There is wait service on the beach and a button attached to the umbrellas which you can press to summon staff who will appear to take an order and bring the order directly to your chairs. The food was delicious and service was excellent. Kate was phenomenal and truly worked hard making all the guests comfortable and happy - always quick service with a smile. The beach was crowded while we were there but there were staff on hand to help everyone with chairs and umbrellas. We would not hesitate to recommend this hotel and hope to get back in the near future.

Currently Staying at the Westin June 29-July 6. We rented 3 rooms as we are combining a honeymoon with a family trip.
We usually stay at the Ritz down the road but thought the Westin would be better for a family trip.
The hotel itself is nice, rooms are nice... Views are nice too however, the guest services specifically the hotel is one of the worst I've experienced in a very long time.

We arrived at 1pm, no rooms were available but yet we kept on being told "it will be just a few more minutes" We finally got our rooms 3.5 hours later. Then, anytime you call for anything (extra towels, pillows, room service and to clean your room) you are told "right away". .. Right away is an average of 2-3 hours!!

Rooms are not cleaned until you call at least 4 times and typically its around 3pm before anyone shows up.

Extra towels and blankets either don't come at all or... You have to have 7-8 times over a span of an hour at least.

Not sure who is managing this place but they are severely under staffed and no one seems to mind.

We will be sure to stay somewhere else next year when we come back to this beautiful island.

Your experience is certainly not in line with our usual standards and I would like to personally apologize for the length of time that you waited for your requests to be met. I can understand how frustrating this can be and will certainly address your concerns with our team to ensure that the necessary improvements are made. We have visited Grand Cayman at least 20 times and our favorite place to stay was the Beach Suites. They closed and in September we stayed at Kimpton Seafire - totally first class. During that visit we saw that the Westin had remodeled and had also stayed there a few times so we decided to give it another try here in June. They had a package offering "5th night free" so we booked it. Warning - there is no 5th night free as many other hotels do - when you get your bill you will see the 5th night zeroed out. However at checkout they tried to explain that they had instead "discounted" each night. There was no discount!!! The package was $591 a night and we expected to pay that but then show no charge for the 5th night - and they refused to credit our account. With their room fee, tax (which we accept), then another 11% service charge (what service?) and of course their ridiculous $65 resort charge for a towel!!!! our room came to $800 a night. WE have learned our lesson - we will always stay at the Kimpton Seafire - truly a 5 star property and you get what you pay for. The last 2 days we were there there was no room service and we had to fish off the maid's cart in the hall for some towels. Then we too are disgusted that the place was so crowded with Sunshine Suite guests paying next to nothing for the beach. Westin - you will keep losing customers - not only here but elsewhere with these tricky tactics.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that is not around the maids headquarters on each floor - it was an obstacle course trying to get past them to the elevator

No place is perfect but the Westin works hard to try and get close. The staff here is amazing and really makes your stay that much better. The property is on an excellent portion of beach with ample chairs and umbrellas available. We traveled with my parents and had a few mishaps but Francisco and his team were ready to help and did an amazing job.

Each employee we encountered was helpful and kind and made our trip very special.

Don’t hesitate to book here.
