I was at Kazouku with two of my daughters. We ordered Dumplings, edamame, and Tokyo rolls as a starter. Sushi mains.
My daughter who is 6, only eats the dumplings at such restaurants, unfortunately it was the only day they didn’t have any. The server saw my daughters disappointment and offered some noodles free of charge, which was great customer service. She still didn’t eat them unfortunately.
I like hot sake, however I am not sure if it was asked for before as it took a while to clarify that could serve their sake selection hot and when they figured they could it took a further 20mins for me to get it.
The Tokyo rolls we ok, the sushi we felt lack flavor, the presentation was great and we hoped the flavor matched it so maybe we set our expectations a little too high.
For two appetizers, three sushi rolls, two soft drinks and one bottle of sake our bill was around US$100.
I don’t think we will go back I didn’t feel the price reflected the flavor for value. There are many other sushi restaurants in Cayman that are really good at making sushi. Unfortunately Kazoku was not memorable enough for me to want to go back.
We did however appreciate the server being concerned about my daughter not having anything to eat. We did end up going to the store for a salad for her after we left !
Would suggest kid friendly menu options.
