“Serenity Now!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 August 2011

The reviews are true! Can't say enough great things about this hidden gem. Well appointed rooms with kitchenettes and all the appliances that you would need. Pristinely clean (hard to not be w/the primarily white decor) and very safe. Ideal for a small family seeking a bit of privacy, flexibility and not wishing to be overrun by the crowds in large hotels - we took our 4 month old and she loved it! The hotel was very accommodating.

The beach was wonderful - literally in our living room - and yes, you can do a bit of light snorkeling just a few feet away from the shore line. A shot that I took of the beach from my balcony now serves as my iMac screensaver!

Service is attentive whenever requested, but tends to be more discreet - which is what we were looking for...

The village of Grand case is also a few mins walking distance - you can leisurely stroll along the beach and be at some of the finest restaurants in the Caribbean before you know it - though I'd highly recommend renting a car - as there is a lot to see and do on other parts of the island (Marigot & Philipsburg to name a few) - don't get anything too large - parking can be painful in some spots and the road can be fairly adventurous - Island style!

Can't wait to return! Need more Guavaberry!

Having read tons of reviews and not being able to settle on a hotel for our St. Martin vacation, my wife and I decided to go with Bleu Emeraude. We got to the hotel and it was exactly as advertised. The place was very clean and the service was excellent. If you are looking for a truly laid back vacation, this is the hotel for you. The kitchen is well equipped with new appliances, cutlery, plates, etc. Grand case beach is also excellent for snorkeling, especially right in front of the hotel. I would advise you to get an inexpensive snorkeling kit prior to your trip so that you can save some money on rental. Definitely worth it. There is US supermarket, pharmacy, corner store just up the road and there are tons of inexpensive restaurants around Grand Case. I would recommend renting a car (smallest possible, easier to park), best way to enjoy your trip. The hotel has basement parking. Thank you Xavier and Camille for the excellent service. Your hotel made us feel at home and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We will be back!

New and well designed, modern and crisp. A quick overnight for a birthday celebration couldn't have been better! Friendly staff, easy parking, ON the beach with terrific views plus a pool, this small, intimate, well priced nest offering petite dejeuner couldn't be better. Staff isn't on site 24 hours but it doesn't matter, especially for independent travelers.

Everything about the hotel and reviews is right on. It's clean, beautiful, friendly, quiet, close to town, lots to do. As another reviewer mentioned, we too were told it would be a certain price, but they would not honor what they said when it was time to check out. My advice would be to pay the full amount ahead of time.

Room Tip: The ground floor rooms are not very private.

We'd stayed in St. Martin before (2002 or 2003) and fell in love with it. We were supposed to go back in 2009, but life got in the way and we had to cancel our plans. While we'd stayed at L'Atlantide right on Grand Case beach the first time around, we wanted something else, especially because the reviews of it sounded pretty sad at this point.

So I started googling and found Bleu Emeraude, which was just down the beach from L'Atlantide and looked really inviting! The reviews we found on tripadvisor were really good, and we wanted something that was apartment-like (so we felt like we had a home away from home) and right on the beach , with a balcony. That's exactly what we found in Bleu Emeraude. We contacted the hotel and Camille was knowledgeable and right on it with emails, information, etc.

We were very excited as our travel date of June 14th approached, and couldn't wait. We arrived on Jet Blue, picked up our car from Kenny's Car Rental (Lesley Bruce is incredible - fantastic rates and service!!) and were on our way to Grand Case. When we checked in, we had a lovely studio on the 2nd floor (they call it the 1st floor, French-style) and we were overlooking the water and could even fall asleep to the sound of the waves. Alors!!!

We had an amazing 8 days there, and Camille could not have been more helpful or sweet. We had everything we needed in the room - including a safe that fit my 15" laptop, free wireless, Nespresso machine, full-sized fridge, iPod doc, flat-screen TV - was right there. It was a quick walk into town, where all the best restaurants are.

People talked on the Forums about the fact that you had to cross a busy street at night to get back to the hotel, but we found that walking the beach back from town at pretty much any hour was very safe. We were there off-season, so it might be different at high season, but we always looked forward to our late night walk home.

We loved Bleu Emeraude and look forward to our next trip to St. Martin, when we'll be sure to stay here again! Incredible trip, incredible hotel.

Room Tip: Go for a floor that's at least one up (
