We stopped by here for a late lunch. Wish we went earlier as we were still full at dinner time. Our hosts, JeanBaptiste and Paula, are very friendly and accommodating. JeanBaptiste took the time to explain each dish in detail and even brought a pot of veal and leeks in a creamy sauce to show us. He said it was a dish his grandmother used to make in Normandy. I had beef bourguignon while my hausband had the lasagne. Both dishes were exceptional. JeanBaptiste then brought out a taste of the veal. Delicious! Of course, we had to have Paula’s chocolate mousse. Best I ever had! When in St Martin, try this fabulous restaurant. You won’t be disappointed.

Great little hole in the wall on an ally way. Food is great, staff / owner wonderful. Eaten here a few times on this trip.

Altough Le Sous Marin did get hit by Hurricane Irma, Jean-Baptiste and his wife Paula were able to re-open and nothing has changed...which is good. The prices are still more than reasonable and the quality is still homemade. I had to order the lasagna to see if it was the same. It was better in taste but the center was a little ccld. It was cooked but not hot. The service is like I remembered. Quick, friendly and informative. Everything is still made on site and is always fresh. Take away is available and reservations are never needed. Still a must if you visit Marigot. You will not be disappointed.

Our group of 9 (would later be 11) were waiting for our chartered sail boat to be ready for boarding, so we decided to have a quick lunch. Found this great little place, where the local folks were eating.. We sat down, to only be treated by the one and only Jean-Baptiste. He is the owner along with his wife. John brought us out all of his signature dishes, which were all delicious.. Last minute decision was to order dinner for our first night on the boat from Jean-Baptiste…He allowed us to order for a party of 11 his lasagna and delivered it the next morning.. Lasagna, which is out of this world! Also, try the Beef Bourguirnon, and Chicken Cordon Bleu. He also, treated us to his chocolate mousse, which he spoon fed us… He later took pictures from his home of our departure on the sail boat, unbeknownst to us. He showed up at the dock when our trip was over to give us a flash drive with all the pictures he took of our sailing departure.. Thanks Jean- Baptiste, it was truly a great experience... Look forward to our next time... XO – bisous, bisous!!....Monica (aka LA PRESIDENTE)

We came by this restaurant while visiting St. Martin. The first time we had split a quiche Lorraine chocolate mousse as a snack. The quiche melted in my mouth! So good! We came back for chicken cordon blue which was delicious as well! The owner is so friendly and treated us like family. Definitely a place not to be missed on the island.
Thank you for your hospitality!
