We stayed in room 1C for 2 nights, and I was amazed by the service, room, and location. The hotel overlooks a beach that is accessible by a few flights of stairs. At the beach, the hotel offers for free snorkeling, kayaking, paddle boarding, and towel service. Also, the hotel offers paid activities, like jungle biking, scuba diving, and guided hikes. The room we stayed in is medium-sized, comfortable, and it has a beautiful view of the beach and the Pitons. Furthermore, the service is very friendly and helpful. This hotel is excellent for someone who wants to relax or embark on an adventure in St. Lucia.

Room Tip: Try to get a room with a low number because they are more accessible

We had the most spectacular vacation ever! We are divers and dove with a group of 12 people. We were welcomed by the staff even though our arrival was 4 hours late and 1130 at night - they still waited for us and had our welcome cocktail in hand. Then due to the lateness of the hour - they had special plates for each of us in our rooms so we didn't go hungry. There are several restaurants to choose from on the property and they made sure that they accommodated our group in one area - inclusive of our own tent on the beach on the Tuesday evening when there is only one restaurant to choose from for dinner. The restaurant staff were very accommodating of our group and made us feel extra special. Our dive staff were phenomenal! I have dove all over the world and host travel trip on a regular basis - this group has reset the bar to an even higher notch. They even accommodated our non-divers and made them feel welcome and included on the boat when the divers were in the water (never had this happen before). My group of travelers are well-seasoned and generally have a rule of thumb that no destination is repeated - this trip has given the exception. I am looking to book again in the near future!

Room Tip: All non-beach rooms have a very nice view. Beach rooms have A/C

We opted for a Superior Hillside room (6A), which was a great octagonal chamber, with a balcony on three sides. Well-appointed and good view of the Pitons, and after we'd got used to the lack of air conditioning, and the lengthy hill-climb to reach it, we fell in love with it. The staff were fantastic - cleaners, waiting staff, beach staff, everyone. All so helpful and friendly. And the food was very good - new menu every day, and always much enjoyed.

Room Tip: Check the vertical height of the room from the bar/restaurants, if you don't want to 'climb'

We felt the love and care the minute we arrived at this beautiful property. Monica moved us to room with a better view without a moment's hesitation. If you think customer service is a thing of the past, take a trip to Anse Chastanet. The service was top notch and it begins with the charming and helpful Assistant General Manager, Jonathan! He was always willing to help, answer any questions or just say hello with a big smile. This should not be so unique but unfortunately is. My husband and I have travelled to quite a few resorts and the service here makes the top five on our list.

The beach service is superb - Abu will always get you comfortably situated on the beach under a hut. There are plenty of huts and the chairs are first rate. The snorkeling on both sides of the beach is lush and colorful. Late afternoon Junior comes by spray his "happiness remedy". This guy and the delightful cool spray is a treat at the end of a day.

Make it a pint to go to the other little beach and grab one of the best burgers and fries you could ever eat. Delightful experience.

We stayed in a room at the bottom of the hill - we were situated close to everything. With the many steps, this was great. Shuttle service is provided though.

We dined almost every night in The Treehouse - breakfast as well. Very, very nice. We did dine at the beach restaurant which was nice.

A few observations - I think the resort could use a little "loving" - by that I mean an injection of some $$$. The rooms could be updated and better lighting would be nice. Also, AC would be a nice option. The hotel provided me with a phone upon request. This is a big help - especially with the long walks to get anywhere.

We elected to use the private car transfer to and from airport - highly recommend!

All in all, this was a wonderful vacation (even with bad weather for five of the days). We relaxed and let the Anse Chastenet take care of us!
