Our visit was on July 2016. We originally was looking to stay at the jade mountain resort but chose the landings because it’s a beachfront resort and were not disappointed. We stayed in a three bedroom suite with a private outdoor jacuzzi and a full kitchen. The resort is beautiful and service was wonderful.

The moment my family and I drove through the gates of the Landings Resort and Spa we felt like ROYALTY. We were warmly greeted by the security guard at the front gate who was genuinely happy to have us at the resort. This warmth did not stop at the front gate, despite our early arrival at the resort, front desk agent Nadia was extremely professional and came to us while we were seated to welcome us to the resort, registered us and advised us of the various activities at the hotel. Once registered we were ushered to our suite where we were escorted by the bellhop (sorry...forgot his name). This young man escorted us to our suite and provided us with a guide of all the features and amenities that came with the suite. At this stage we were all in awe at the accommodations and the well appointed furnishings that were included in the suite, our room was even upgraded to include a plunge pool. Over the six day period at the resort we were all blown away by the staff and the service that they provided. GM Paul Collymore, was always accessible, sporting his friendly smile and was always inquiring on our experience. The restaurant staff Ophelia, Jemma, Keria, chef Joseph among other staff members were all very attentive and anticipated our every need and supplied it making our dining experiences enjoyable. My family and I are avid and regular travellers around the world, the "Landings St Lucia Experience" with their exceptional service is definitely one that is most memorable.

Fabulous huge apartment living, the most comfortable beds EVER. Beautiful beach, safe, clean, exclusive. Plenty of stuff to do, or a whole load of nothing. Beach club food is good, not fine dining, but perfectly adequate - some excellent restaurants near-by, ranging from good local food, to amazing but pricey.

Room tip: All as good as each other, some a short walk (500m) to the beach

The Landings Resort and Family is an exceptional hotel in the North part of St. Lucia. The staff is extremely attentive and friendly and the accommodations are well appointed and inviting. We would definitely be back!

Room tip: We had a marina view room with the best of both worlds; the view from our front porch sitting area was the ocean;back patio was the marina.

Family of 4 (kids are 18+) vacationed for a week at the resort. Stayed in a 2 bedroom beachfront condo with butler service. I would recommend the resort, read below for more details.

Pros: Upon arrival, we were given 4 rum punches - delicious. The pantry service stocked our refrigerator and pantry with the food and beverage that we ordered prior to arrival. They even called me in advance to check on which type of cheese I liked. Check-in was efficient, and they charged our credit card for 2 or 3 days as indicated in the original booking. The condo was very clean upon arrival and the A/C worked very well. Breakfast each morning was included and exceeded our expectations. All the staff at the resort were nice and a few were memorable - Elijah comes to mind. Met the resort manager Paul at the Monday night manager party - free wine and hors d'ouvers. He indicated that the resort is closing in September to renovate the restaurant and outdoor deck, powerwashing and painting the outside, and other general improvements. There are several beach security guards that rotate every 8-12 hours, so there is always someone on the beach. They really don't need a guard and there was only 1 or 2 times I noticed that they had to escort someone off the beach that was not staying at the property (i.e local St Lucian). The beach itself was extremely clean and we were always able to get beach chairs and an umbrella (although it may be tougher in prime season). The beach is protected in the bay, so the waves are non-existent, but the water was nice and warm. Two yellow rafts are tied up and anchored to the ground, so you can relax out in the water. The water sports shack had almost everything you could want - sail boats, floats, paddle boards, kayaks, etc. Waverunners, tubing, and other motorized sports were extra, but not expensive. We walked over to Pigeon island which was an easy morning hike through the Sandals resort. The main restaurant was only open two nights, so we did not try it. We ate all of our evening meals in Rodney Bay, about a 10 minute taxi ride. You can call the front desk and they will come pick you up and make a reservation at the restaurant - recommend Big Chef Steakhouse and Buzz (the owner at Buzz is nice- from South Africa - and the lobster is fantastic - service was great). Kitchen supplies in the condo were adequate, and they offered turn down service nightly. we had a couple of problems with the toilets but they fixed it right away. laundry in the unit was helpful. The beach shack has plenty of towels. the pools are nice but we only swam in them once since the beach was so nice. we had a second floor unit and had a nice view of the water and pigeon island. went over to the water park / reduit beach once - so much more crowded there and busy than the landings beach - you really appreciate the landings so much more after going there. If you need cash, go to the casino in rodney bay and they dispense US dollars from the ATM. I think most other ATMs are eastern Caribbean dollars. we booked a SUV roundtrip from and to the airport. About a 75 - 90 minute ride. Byron from St Lucia airport taxi was great and we had champagne on the way to the hotel. the airport is hot and crowded so suggest you try to get some food before you leave the resort to head home. you can buy groceries at Masey supermarkets in rodney bay. they have most of the US products that you want or need or reasonable substitutes. We stopped there a few times after dinner in Rodney bay on the way home when we needed to restock. Coffee maker in the room works well. Best taxi guys were Desle and Shane. Highlight of the vacation was a private boat charter with Kieran which we booked in advance, but he is also walking the beach during the week so you can book upon arrival. We went to the mud baths and waterfall, drank his beer/punch, went snorkeling, and cliff jumping. Lunch at Anse Chastanet beach was nice.

Cons: long walk from the lobby to our unit - but you can ask the staff to take you in a golf cart. We did not meet our butler until the third day and even then, we did not need the service, as the front desk took care of taxis and reservations. 1 of two beach restaurants was closed for 3 or 4 days, probably because of the low season and staff availability. staff availability in August seemed low, the resort tours were high priced, and the landings is right next to a local beach, which was really only crowded and noisy on a Sunday. We brought our own soap and shampoo - little ones in the bath room would only last 1 or 2 days. ice maker did not work. lights in batchroom would flicker on and off. sunrise was 5:30am and the curtains did not block the sun fully.

Summary: Would stay again. great place to relax. nice people. only downside was the long ride from the airport, availability of food options at the hotel

Room tip: ocean view rooms are the best. you've come all this way - don't skimp
