This place is great! Helpful and friendly staff for all of our questions on how to enjoy Saba. Breakfast was perfect and what incredible views eating in the morning! We LOVED our dives and the room we stayed in. The dive masters were awesome and wanted to give us the best dives for the conditions each day. They took good care of us and our dive gear. We became friends and enjoyed all the other divers and travelers we met. Thanks Scouts -- already hoping to return for another visit!

I was able to take a quick trip down to Saba in February and Scout's Place was perfect. Very nice rooms, staff, location, etc. Definitely recommended. I was in room 7 which has excellent views, I'm sure all the other rooms do as well. Saba is absolutely beautiful.

We the students of Ross University School of Veterinary Med. were looking for a fun trip for our mid semester break. Our Scuba club president came up with the idea of putting together a dive trip to the island of Saba. We stumbled onto Dive Saba's internet site and place an inquiry. They responded very fast and gave us an amazing group rate as we were taking 19 students. They were more than friendly and took great care of us while we stayed. The rooms were nice and the dive leaders were some of the best we have ever had. All in all I would recommend Scout's place as a place to stay on the island and would highly recommend diving with the excellent staff at Saba Divers. I personally look forward to my return to Saba and Scout's place.

Sincerely,

Ross Scuba Club President
Robert Walsh

Definitely would recommend this place on Saba. My room was #12. It had french doors leading out to a private balcony with table and chairs that looked out over the Caribbean. Saba is basically a mountain sticking up out of the Caribbean so it is possible that pretty much every room on the island has a fantastic view, but it was really nice. The staff was friendly and helpful and made sure I made it to the airport in time to catch my flight when my taxi driver failed to show up. The onsite restaurant was friendly and I enjoyed the food - it always smelled great when I'd walk past it to get to my room. The lodgings are also just down the street from the few other restaurants and bars on the island, so very well located. It was fun to walk around the streets of Windwardside. BTW - I asked why they would build a town on the windward side vs. being in the shelter of the island on the leeward side. It's because the winds coming through make for a more pleasant temperature.

We took our first trip to Saba in July, and began planning in advance. We exchanged multiple emails with Patricia and Nikki prior to our arrival to ensure our room and dive package were just what we wanted. The staff was helpful, responsive and incredibly friendly. When we arrived, they welcomed us like old friends, and led us up to our room, which had an incredible balcony view of the top of the mountain. Our room was clean, comfortable and quiet, and our accommodations came with a continental breakfast, which consisted of fruit, marmalade, toast, meat, cheese, and choice of beverage. It was delicious, and the perfect pre-dive meal!

We dove with Scout's Place's dive outfit, Saba Divers. Please see their page for excellent reviews. Overall, our dive experience was incredible, and our DMs were able to point out unique aquatic life, including two lovely frog fish.

We ate lunch after diving at Scout's Place nearly every day. Though we thought about venturing out for lunch, we found that Scout's Place offered delicious meal choices and we could add it to our room bill! The frikandel (with fries!) was moist and delicious, and the bartenders and waitresses were quick to bring out another round of Caribs!

Scout's Place also provided us with transportation to and from Fort Bay, the harbor where the dive shop is located. Billy, our taxi driver, navigated the twisting, steep roads of Saba like a pro, and provided hilarious stories and insights along the way.

Scout's Place provided the perfect combination of relaxation, beautiful views, amiable staff, delicious food, and professionalism. They booked our dinner reservations for us while we were out diving, told us which restaurants had specials on which nights, and made us feel like a part of the Scout's Place family. We can't wait to begin planning our return trip!
