“Perfect Old San Juan retreat”
Reviewed 12 August 2017 for a stay in August 2017

The apartment looks exactly as the photos posted. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. The location is centrally located and we found it easy to find our way back after exploring since the cathedral across the street was such an iconic landmark. We traveled with our two 20 year old sons, who shared the small hallway bathroom, while my husband and I shared the spacious master bath. We felt that there was plenty of room for everyone to have their own spot for downtime. My husband and boys enjoyed nightly beers on the balcony while people watching. Beach towels were provided and the stackable washer/dryer made it easy to dry our wet clothes from our trips to the beach. We did not take advantage of the fully stocked kitchen, except to keep beers and waters in the refrigerator, but we could have comfortably cooked up meals had we been so inclined. There is a grocery store two blocks away at the Plaza de Armas where you can find everything you'll need. I was especially impressed with how communicative everyone at the rental office was. We lost internet service one evening and I immediately sent an email to Annett/Vida. They sent someone in the following day to fix it so that by the time we arrived back from a tour, our boys were able to download the day's video footage. The night we arrived, our flight was delayed 4 times which made our scheduled 11PM arrival into a 4AM arrival. Marel was so very kind and chipper with the constant texts at that ungodly hour, meeting us at the apartment with the keys and welcoming us so genuinely to Puerto Rico. She was awesome! We would stay here again in a heartbeat and will recommend it to our family and friends.

“Week in Puerto Rico”
Reviewed 18 March 2017 for a stay in March 2017

Nice location for a home base in Old San Juan. My wife and 3 daughters (15, 18, 20) stayed the week. Apt was well located, good restaurants nearby. Old San Juan had enough for 2-3 days then rented a car to travel around the island. Parking is a challenge, Dona Fela parking garage was most economical. Favorite restaurants were La Madre, St Germaine, Choco Bar Cortez and Cafe San Juan. Best day drips were hiking up El Junque, and combo of Cavernas Rio Camuy and Arecibo. Favorite beach on the way back was Playa Mar Chiquita.

“Very Nice Apartment for a family”
Reviewed 29 March 2016 for a stay in March 2016

Had an awesome time in apartment, very comfortable. Good location. Apartment was clean and quiet. Also in heart of town close to restaurants. Building has elevator and the apartment had good air conditioner. Javier who received us is a very nice host and gave us all necessary information of apartment and area.

“Deffinately stay here - very nice”
Reviewed 24 December 2015 for a stay in December 2015

Wanda met us at check in to give us our keys and show us the rental. She was very nice and helpful. She told us a place to go eat supper. It was just as the pictures showed. There were bath towels and beach towels in each bedroom. The washer and dryer was stacked and small, but worked well. They were located in cabinet to the left of the refrigerator. You must bring your own washcloths and dishrags (there was one dish towel). Plenty of toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, and dish detergent was provided. Thanks! One of our toilets stopped up and the plunger was broken. We called and a new plunger was delivered to us. We were on the second floor. The steps were great, but the antique elevator was amazing for our stroller and luggage. The neighbor on the first floor had a dog that barked when we went in and out - our granddaughter loves dogs and got excited when she heard it. Street parking was free but not often available - so we parked for $20 a day (bargained and got the $25 reduced to $20 since we were staying several days) in a valet indoor parking garage a few streets away. The internet was very spotty. Two people could have hot water at one time.

“skip the hotel and stay here instead!”

Me, my husband and our two young adult children stayed at this beautiful apartment over Spring Break. It was perfect...gorgeous, spotless, and the perfect location in Old San Juan. We spent our first day exploring the city then traveled in our rented car throughout the week. We visited Loguillo Beach for gorgeous vistas and excellent Puerto Rican sole food. Spent an afternoon hiking in El Yungue rainforest (but almost didn't leave the little outdoor bar we stopped at for lunch!) Excellent food and drink are literally steps away from the apt.
Puerto Rico is warm friendly and safe. This was my first time renting instead of going to a hotel and I will travel this way from now on. Irma at Vida Urbana was so nice and professional, the whole process was very easy. The pictures don't do this place justice. We'll be back!
